Hey guys, been a while!

I've been wanting to improve this for forever, so I thought I'd just delete the other blogs and start new. I have some free-time right now so I thought, "well why not update it?"
I've also added a couple more parts, so I hope you like it!

-------------------------------------------------

They’re back...

Prologue:

“Ow.” I mutter as the pain seeps into my leg. There was nothing to help me, nothing to save me. I was going to die, right then and now. “Why, why does it have to be... me?” I can’t help but scream. It hurts too badly.  By then nobody in my group cared. They all hated me, with fierceness as hot as the sun. Their unwelcoming attitude almost stung more than the ache in my leg. But we jolted to a stop. Three figures stood there… and didn’t look very happy.

Part 1:

The town was suffering an awful sickness and they also were suffering of hunger. Each house had to send a member and be part of the group to find a new place to live.  Unfortunately, I was picked from my household. My name is Crystal Archer, and I’m 15 years old. It stung deep in my heart when I got picked. I had to get separated into the group, and leave my family alone. They were supposed to send me letters occasionally, like for Christmas and other holidays, but it seems like they don’t care because I don’t live at the house anymore. It’s actually depressing… Oh well. If I could wish for one thing… It would be to know how they’re doing. I’d do almost anything for them, because they’re well... Family! If only they did the same to me….

Part 2:

I stop thinking about how I desperately want to go back home and see my family. I groan as the snow touches my face. “Ow! It burns!” I say, holding my gaze on the ground below the mountain we were climbing.  All the members of my group thought of me as a kid. Well… I guess I am a kid, but they treat me more like a baby or the youngest of the group. That’s because most of them are 19-26 years old. They won’t even talk to me if it were to save their lives. That’s one of the worst things about this group. “Ugggh.” I say, knowing they’re out of earshot anyway. Wait, turns out I was wrong. “C’mon kid, stop taking forever to climb that ledge.” “We could have been to the top already if you would stop stalling.” “Why in the world did your mommy or daddy send YOU?” “You’re the worst traveler the world has ever seen.” One of the adults said, locking their eyes on me. “Well, if it makes you happy, I didn’t want to get picked either.” I argue.

Part 3:

Once the day had ended, and all the adults had marshmallows and hot-dogs while I had been eating whatever I could find, I went to sleep. It was the weirdest dream I’ve ever had… three lone figures stay still staring into my eyes. Solemnly, watching all the time.  When I woke up, I almost screamed.  That dream, must have meant something to me. Something bad… I just couldn’t stop thinking about it. Every time I did, I pictured those cold solemn figures staring into my soul. It scared me so much I couldn’t think straight.

Part 4:

“Oh come, kid.” “Get a move on!” “We can’t leave you behind, even if you want to cry to your mommy back home.” The adults kept saying, and being mean. “Can’t you leave me for my thoughts for just ONE minute!?” I spat, trying to show them I hated them just as much as they hated me. “If you want to stay there and starve and freeze to death, I’ll leave you to it!!” The adult yelled. “Well, it would be a pleasure to freeze and die because you guys don’t feed me anyway.” I wanted to win this debate. I was really smart at finding parent’s and older adult’s weaknesses on arguments.  “Oh yeah, I guess you’re right, but still… You don’t want to upset your family and everyone if you die out here!!” They gave me a hard time trying to figure a way around that.

Part 5:

“Everyone, look!” “We’re almost to the top of the mountain!” The tallest and best-traveler in the group yelled. The rest of the adults yelled too. I stand there looking at the top of the mountain, with my arms crossed. I wish they would keep quiet so I could at least be alone with my thoughts.  I utter a “Hurray” quietly.  All of the adults glare at me. “Why do you guys hate me so much?” I ask.  The adults answered in a chorus. “We hate you because little kids or teenagers were NOT supposed to come on a dangerous trip like this, and we hate you because you’re such a slow-poke!!” “Do you think I can help that I’m a slow-poke, or that I’m a teenager?” I say, wondering if they’ll get around that as easy as they got around my other question. “You may be right, little girl, but we still don’t like that you ARE a teenager and a slow-poke.” They say, almost immediately. I moan, really loud so they can hear it.

Part 6:

“Hiking up the mountain!” “Yes! Yes!” “Almost to the top, almost to the top.” The adults cheer and sing. I keep going with my arms crossed, and I sigh quietly. The adults still hear me, and glare their worst glare.  “Whatever.” I mutter, sweeping my gray scarf and pulling it onto my face. I grab my dark-brown hair and release it out of its ponytail.  The adults continue to cheer and dance.  I roll my eyes at them, and sit down on the hard, snowy mountain. I grab a sketchbook out of my bag, trying to signal the adults we should stop here for the night. I start writing a story about my day, and then I go back and read yesterday’s entry. It read it fine print; Today. 11/10/1009. I gaze at the page, and start looking over it for grammar mistakes. Yep, I had misspelled “You’re.” I get a pencil out of my bag and erase it. I re-write it, and it was as good as new.

Part 7:

“EVERYONE!” “LOOK!!” “We’re at the top!!” The loudest traveler yelled. I covered my ears, and got up. I put all my stuff back into my bag, then started up the mountain. I walked until I saw what he was talking about. We were at the top. I don’t understand why all the adults were so happy, because we had only started our adventure and still needed to climb back down the mountain, to find a new place to live. The adults placed their bags and belongings on the ground, and then dug through them to find something to eat. “Ooh, who’s up for hot-dogs?” One adult said to the others. “Me, can I have some food that isn’t hunted by finding whatever?” I ask. The adult who found the hot-dogs glared at me with a very harsh glare. “I guess that’s a no.” I mutter, and walk off to find something to eat.

Part 8:

As I sit down on the hard, solid top of the mountain, I hear something. A very faint whisper behind me. “What..?” I whisper, quietly walking into the bushes behind me. “Come, Crystal.” “You will be safe with us.” A tiny voice in my head echoed. I step forward onto the damp floor beneath me. The voice keeps echoing, mysteriously.  As I follow the voice to a very eerie cave, I find 3 solemn figures, staring hard at me. I scream. “No, child, it will be okay.” “You’re with us now.” The figures seem to say, but she decides she imagined it. “You.. Y-you are going to h-hurt-urt me..” I whimper. As the figures take me deeper into their cave, I keep on having dark, scary visions of them. I also see someone else…

Part 9:

I see a shadow, and a bit of moonlight pours into my mind. “Where.. Am I?” I mutter. The shadow creeps closer to me. “Hello, dear Crystal.” “We have been waiting for you.” The shadow speaks. “W-Who are you?” I stammer, choking the words out. “Oh dear, little one, I have known you for all your life.” “My name… Is Amethyst.” The shadow’s owner revealed itself. I saw Amethyst, she was beautiful. She had medium-long auburn hair, and sparkly cold blue eyes. “I’m sorry, but I don’t know you...” “You aren’t familiar.” I said, but looking closely, I knew her. She was my best friend from kindergarten. “Oh you know, you won’t admit.” She muttered, loud enough so I could hear. I saw a single frosty tear go down her face. “If you don’t know me, you haven’t lived your life.” She said.

       Part 10:

“Oh, I’ve lived enough of it to know that I don’t ever want to re-live it.” I say. “Dear Crystal. We need you.” “Please listen to me, and you will like what you hear.” I hear the door behind me slam. A faint rustling noise rumbles above me. “Oh no.” “They’re back!” Amethyst cries.

Part 11:

“Who? Who’s back?” “What does it matter?” I ask. “Sweet-pea, just hide. Hide. Hide for your life! They’re back, and they’re coming to kill you!” Amethyst screeches. I decide she was probably right, and I hid. Sooner or later, 3 more figures come in the room. I could only see their feet from my hiding place, but I saw that one of their feet was disfigured. I almost snorted in disgust, but clearly thought better of it and just kept quiet.

Part 12:

I heard them talk to Amethyst. They were saying things like “Where is the girl, Amethyst. We know you have her.” in the lowest voice possible. But every time Amethyst replied with “I don’t have her, go look for her if you want but she’s not here.” Those comments just scared me more…

Part 13:

“Amethyst. How dare you show your face around here again?” The figure said. I almost screeched of terror when I heard the sentence. How in the world can they actually TALK? “Amethyst, give us answers. You know we want to hear about Crystal. We need all the information we can get to plot against her.” Amethyst looked puzzled, at least I thought from my hiding spot she did. “Oh boys, you know I’d never ever tell you anything.” I heard a large jerk after a few seconds of silence and then a scream. Something was happening to Amethyst! Were they going to kill her?

Part 14:

I heard Amethyst’s back slam on a chair. One of the figures seemed to be… sitting on her? I guess it was to hold her down while another got tape or rope. Once all the figures left the room except for the one, I ran up from my hiding spot. “OH MY GOSH WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?" I screeched when I saw the figure. The figure… no person, was really surprised when it saw me too. I was way more scared though; he/she had a white painted pasty face, black hair, contacts which were red with black pupils, and a really creepy painted smile.

This story is absoloutely amazing! One word of advice I would tell you is that you should use other words for "glare" for when the adults look at her, like "stare", etc.
