hello Planetminecraft, today im going to be showing you how to be able to obtain and place mushroom blocks in your single player and multiplayer worlds. NOTE:YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SWITCH GAMEMODES TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS! I DO REALIZE THAT YOU CAN GET MUSHROOM BLOCKS WITH THE TMI MOD. THIS IS FOR PEOPLE WHO DONT HAVE THE MOD AND DONT WANT TO INSTALL IT. Now then lets begin

STEP 1:

Make sure you start you game in creative mode.This next part is pretty simple but it can take forever to do. Youll need to acquire a pickaxe of any kind that has an enchantment of silk touch. BE SURE TO KEEP THIS IN YOUR INVENTORY!

STEP 2:

Find a nice dark area or make a huge platform in the sky to place your mushroom under. Then make the mushroom grow with bonemeal.

STEP 3:

now you need to switch gamemodes to survival.Make sure you still have your silk touch pickaxe. (If the server your playing on has MultiInv then youll need to throw the pickaxe out in front of you and THEN switch gamemodes so you can pick it up again).

STEP 4:

Now you can just go ahead and start mining away at the mushroom in survival mode. You can also get the mushroom stem too.

STEP 5:

the mushroom blocks will take up about 8-10 spaces i your inventory. This is because one space is allocated to each way a mushroom block faces. In other words the direction where the actual red/brown part of the mushroom is actually facing. For example one space will be allocated for the blocks that have 2 red/brown faces that point north and east and another will be allocated for north and west and so on. All of the blocks however will always have one face pointing up. So if you decide you want to make a path with them you can use any of the blocks.

STEP 6:

Now that you have your acquired mushroom blocks change your gamemode back to creative. Now you can place the mushroom blocks wherever you want to create awesome looking builds.

NOTE: There is one glitch that can happen in this tutorial. if you take a stack of mushroom blocks and place it on a different stack of mushroom blocks the stacks will combine to the block that you placed the stack in. Dont panic though if you click on the stack you will get back your original mushroom blocks.
