We all scroll through the recently updated section under skins, projects, etc. sometimes. And what we find is not always what we think of as "Quality." I don't get why you wouldn't give the community here on this awesome fansite the best you are capable of. Following are the reasons it matters:

1. For all you people who think it's unfair that people that submit their best and utmost creations, are a high level! Think about it. They just randomly joined the website and got set at level 30 or higher? I doubt it. They actually try to give the community their fancy uploads!
Disco. Yeah I bet Cyprezz thought he was cool because he joined the site, so he put him at level 90. NO. 
SnowyLips. Also, I think she joined and got popular only because she posted one good thing, and all you people who don't give your best, and expect to gain popularity, were set behind her because her work shrouded you from fame. NO.

2. High leveled people on this site don't hog all of the attention. They earned the spot! They tried their hardest and made it on the popular reel. And if you wonder why your not on there, look at your work. I'm not saying people that do try most to make a good skin, project, texture pack, art, or blog, don't deserve to earn that spot, they just need to keep trying, and get it out there. And if you think spamming, or posting over and over is going to get you far, your wrong.

3. It's fun to upload your very best! Showing your skills and talents to others and getting diamonds in return, why not? A good creation earns you respect. 

4. And if you want to become popular, I'd recommend the chat lounge. Socializing with the other people that are there, including me, can get you places. Don't beg for attention, just see if people like it, and if not, try something different.

I only get fame for little projects that I think deserve more. I have been on for two years and I'm on level 30. I call that a big accomplishment, but the noobs laugh at me.

Listen im not against this post but When you see skins that you think arent very good you have no way of knowing if they actually tried on this people might have worked really hard on it. They may have gotten better since then and that might have been their best try at that time.

I admit, some of my earlier projects were horrid, but my later projects (War Zeppelin, my skin and The Adventure Mop) are quality.

I'd try coming to the chat lounge, it really helps :P And if it doesn't try expanding your range of uploads, (blogs, projects, etc.) and then after people find those, they may check out your other creations :P

But there's another thing when it comes to skins. If it's a famous character, the skin suddenly gets to the popular reel if it's good enough. If it's a made-up character however, it doesn't have a chance unless the creator has got 500+ subscribers.


Those ''teen skins'' also get too popular.

Yeah, I hate those "teen skins" seriously, they are unoriginal, badly-shaded and probably copied. Those skins must go away. 
And also it seems the PMC comunity doesn`t value originality, all they want is non-original/famous people skins. 
Example (from my skins):
-Skyrim skin: 303views+ 62 downloads 
-"The last man on earth" skin: 63 views + 7 downloads

Happened to me too. Made tons of pokemon skins, all of them are quite popular, but my personal skin, a guy in a nuclear powered exo-skeleton, has got like 2-3 downloads.

One thing that irritates me, Is when so many poor things get uploaded so quickly after your thing goes up, that it's instantly buried.
and I'm not perfect, far from it, I've uploaded a lot of shoddy skins, But if you were to check my site, the shoddy ones are low numbers, but my texture pack, which I've spent a stupid amount of time on. Is what's brought me up to this high level I'm at now.

Now some people do post quality work and they don't get noticed. Not trying to start something and I do agree people need to stop posting stuff like "simple" textures and steve skins...

I agree with Zaphod, I totally agree with you! I see skins that are, like, done in under 3 minutes and it makes me angry, and then they get onto the popular reel and people who deserve it, like Bethamez and Hnybnny and people like that. Heck, you deserve it as well! Because this is quality work!

Well, I find that i am biased in my defending high level members, but i do like seeing someone who is paying attention to how the system works. Personally, I always try to go the extra mile in quality, which usually leads to about a month in release delay...
