Okay, so I've been on Planet Minecraft for since September 2011 I think and on Minecraft Forums for about a week. Planet Minecraft is much better than Minecraft Forums. If you are a fan boy of Minecraft Forums I suggest leaving them now.
SOME REASONS:
Minecraft Forums:
1. The site is just full of trolls and haters
2. The members are not helpful in anyway
3. The site is really just only forums, and they are very un-organised
4. People just care about them selves
5. They just want your money, "Premium accounts"
Planet Minecraft:
1. The site has a growing community of friendly people
2. The members and Moderators are very helpful to each other, I have a lot of friends on Planet Minecraft
3. Planet Minecraft has multiple sections on the site for every different part of MInecraft. Projects, Texture Packs, Mods, Skins, Servers, Blogs, ID List and Forums, along with a Contest every month
4. People love to help other people, even if they are complete N00Bs.
5. Planet Minecraft has more editing features for all the sections of the website and is very organised
That is why I love Planet Minecraft and hate Minecraft Forums. Although Minecraft Forums is the most popular fan site of Minecraft, they really need to get their heads together and do something.
I love Planet Minecraft and I will never leave them, ever. And a week after I post this I will leave Minecraftforums ( So you can see the example link above this text

2. Some of the members ARE helpful if you just look around for more than 2 minutes
3. MCF has those categories, and PMC's monthly contest started after theirs
4. People can also just care about themselves on PMC
5. I have never seen MCF premium accounts. Curse premium accounts are not MCF's fault; those are their hoster's fault.

5. They just want your money, "Premium accounts". Ive been on MCF for about a year and I have never heard of a premium account. What im trying to say is they dont bug you about it much.
