The wind gusts as the snowflakes glide to the earth like eagles soaring through the air
They fall to the ground, as swift as a swallow, as the wind picks up and more flakes fall down
They pile up, forming a sheet of white, while the bears sleep all day and night
The temperature drops as more flakes come falling down, causing some fear and joy all around
The mounds of flakes pile up higher and higher as the sound of owls echo through out the cold night
The snowflakes still dance to the ground as the city wakes up and the sun is nowhere to be found
Dark clouds of gray and black cover the sky while still dropping the white fluffy powder as the children’s screams of joy gets louder and louder
The bitter coldness creeps up like a grim reaper as it drops below and gets colder and colder
The wind blows harder and the temperature climbs down farther
The pond freezes as the flakes descend down through the heavens
The bare trees sway with the cold breeze like colorful coral in the deep blue sea
The last snowflakes fall slowly to the hard ground and the raging blizzard clears
The sun peeks from the dark clouds and shines through to the wet and soft slush
The ice on the tree glitters and shines as the flakes stop falling and the blue sky comes out of its hiding
The white blanket settles in as the blizzard’s furry comes down to its last tiny snowflake
(Please don't steal my ideas!)

Snowflakes have a mind of their own
let me tell you how
They know the wonders of Earth below
and through the sky they flow
They flip and flop and never drop
each snowflake stands alone
They criss and cross and mix with moss
Each snowflake is it's own.
Very well done!
