Chapter 1: Wolfy's Frustration
"This side of the ground is much harder, no this side, no this side.",he argued with himself as he rolled forwards and backwards accross the dark green grass he just woke up upon. Wolfy was a lonely cub, no Mummy to give him milk, no brothers or sisters to play with, no toys, nothing. All he could do was try to be happy. Well Wolfy was a smart little wolf cub, he knew how to survive in these woods. He could hunt down chickens, cows, pigs even, in just one hard aimed strike of his paw. All Wolfy wanted was a family, and he'd do anything to get one, no matter the expence.Today he would find one, or atleast have any hope of getting one. Because today there was many friendly animals around to ask. Just then he had spotted a bird, "Hey you!", he shouts. "Hey you!" the bird replies, Wolfy was confused, "Oi! I said that first!" he shouts back. "Oi! I said that first!", replies the bird. "Stop it!", Wolfy was annoyed now. "Stop it!", mimics the bird yet again."Never mind...", Wolfy sighs. He manages to block his ears while the bird echos his words back.
Wolfy would just have to ask another animal another day.
Chapter 2: The Sacred Tree
The next day Wolfy was in search again for some help of directions to find his family when he stopped by a tree. It was a big brown tree with lots of big branches fulled of nuts and berries! This must be the sacred tree, he thought to himself.
The sacred tree was a tree only found in the deep of the forest, a special tree that no matter the weather change, the disasters, or anything else, it would still be sitting upright on the ground. Some say that the sacred tree is as old as time itself, like about 20 years ago when the school was here, people used to come by and write their initials beside the one they loved, it was called 'the love tree'. Many secrets still lie underneath the old and new bark today, and in the branches of growth and death.
But Wolfy could not climb, he could not fly, he could not- Wait a second. He could not fly, but his bird friend could! And just at that moment the bird soared down from the sky and landed on the highest branch of the tree.
"Good Morning.", said the bird in delight.
"Good Morning.", Wolfy mimicked back as the bird did the day before.
"Hey look, I didn't mean to be mean yesterday", replied the bird, "I just wanted to be funny.".
"Yeah well it wasn't that funny was it?", exclaimed Wolfy.
"Well it was by the look on your face.", the bird giggles back. "Anyway, what would you be doing here this early in the morning?",
"I want to find my family.", replied Wolfy. "What do you mean? Your family is right here, the forest is your family!".
Wolfy pauses for a second or so, then says, "Well yeah, but I mean my actual family, you know, the people who brought me into this world."
The bird suddenly understands, "Oh, so you want to find them?",
"Yes, that's what I tried to ask you yesterday, do you have any idea where I could look?" replies Wolfy.
"Well I don't know, shall we be detectives and try to find out?", says the bird in a funny tone.
"Oh yes please!" Wolfy had just discovered a friend.
More to come.
