you cant use goggle earth to find your house

"where is my house?"
so minecraft has a map. But this map is based of the spawn(witch is right in the middle)But how do you mark your house on a map? Well of course you cant use goggle earth so here is how you get around
1.above your house make a stone platform (50 blocks)
2.on the sides make a 2 up block wall
3.fill with lava
4.look at map your house should be marked with a red spot
you dont need mods or goggle earth!

This is a good idea... but u can still change your spawn point by sleeping in your house, and THEN making the map, it worked for me
