Hi im making an adventure map and I was wondering how do I set spawn point in single player?

When you start a map, The place where you start out is the spawn point, Make sure you build your spawn around that area or your gonna get problems, I don't know if you can edit it in MCedit but, I've never been able to do it on Mcedit so, keep the spawn at the same area as the block you spawned in on when you started the map.

1.Place a bed
2."sleep"
3.then wake up
4.cover bed with (material)
5.spawn above the block.
