im not satisfied with what vanilla skyrim gives me in choice of weapons
im looking for a nice looking lore and game friendly weapon. I prefer one handed swords
(cant use anything that needs hearthfire i still dont have it but i have the other two DLCs)
anyone got any ideas?

Those mods. I congratulate you on your mods.
Though on a side note I'd like to recommend Immersive Creatures, it adds a load of cool lore friendly things to test your new things on!
And to the other guy I was joking, calm down. I wasn't trying to be rude.

Alright, Steam Workshop is weak, I like to say "little mods" are placed on there, nothing huge. I recommend downloading SKSE launcher and going to nexusmods.com and making an account then download the nexus launcher. Nexusmods is the best place to get mods, theres over 30,000 mods on there for just Skryim. If you want weapon mods I've used the following and there cool.
Jaysus Swords
Weapons of the Third Era
Immersive Weapons.
And of course you can just get a mod from steam workshop which adds one sword or something. Jaysus Swords is cool, adds a lot of new stuff to find and smith. Weapons of the Third Era is cool, I think it has a lot of new daggers. And Immersive Weapons is just awesome, but its big, a really big file. I think at least 1 GB. But if you have patients it is just awesome. Adds so much. Anyways I hope this helped, and remember really choose mods you really, really want to have. Skyrim has a mod limit and if you cross it at some point your game will crash. No worries though, I think I played with 56 mods at once and I was good. Enjoy. If you need help PM me.

hehe well if anyone can find me some nice ones on teh workshop that is just as fine..i have been looking for like 2 hours and none of em catch my eye
99% of the mods on workshop are just retextured weapons with their damaged re-done to 1000000000000000000000000000000
obviously im not forcing you to look..it is just nice to have ideas floating around from other people

IrishChaos''OMG NUDE FEMALES AND SKIMPY ARMOURS WITH ANIME HAAAAIR''
But those are the best kind of mods

IrishChaoskarrthus1IrishChaosFirst off, don't get mods from the Steam workshop.
Secondly, don't get mods from the Steam workshop
Get them from ''Nexus mods'' and install then with the ''Nexus Mod Manager''
lots of the steam workshops mods are good and skyrim nexus website is down for me at the moment
Also one warning, the Nexus does go down quite a bit due to it having so many people on it, no. I am not fan boying or making it seem amazing, the owners actually said it. So don't worry if it is down because it will be up again in a few minutes.

Yes, I will agree they CAN be good, but on the Nexus there are a lot more quality ones due to the Nexus Mod manager having a good install system, so Id recommend wiping all of your Steam mods off your game and moving to the Nexus (Scary, I know. But almost all Steam mods can be found on the Nexus)

Why? They don't auto update and the installation is customizable, there is also a better selection of mods. its free too.
Now that THAT is over, check out this guys reviews: https://www.youtube.com/user/GophersVids
He does amazing reviews on good, lore friendly and useful mods, no stupid ''OMG NUDE FEMALES AND SKIMPY ARMOURS WITH ANIME HAAAAIR'' reviews.
Now for mods:
Immersive weapons - Best one out there in my opinion, adds a huuuge variety of weapons.
Skyre - This is more of a gameplay overhaul (That I highly recommend) but it comes with a lot of weapons.
Jaysus Swords - HUGE amount of swords, daggers, etc. Amazing artwork for them as well.
Weapons of the 3rd Era - Good selection, daggers, spears, etc.
Thats all I can remember from my Skyrim playthrough, happy adventuring!

im so picky when it comes to weapons in games
i was using this one but it is annoying because of it's mechanics but it is a really nice sword but it is a little buggy due to it's interesting mechanics
