Or you could get Blur. It's a website that lets you random-generate an infinite amount of email addresses, often from the place you need to type it in. You can then choose which ones are forwarded to your actual email address and which ones aren't. Extremely useful for avoiding spam. All you need to do is make an account and install their plugin on your browser (its called DoNotTrackMe, I think), which also blocks most secret activity tracking devices hidden on most websites (you'll be surprised at how many there are). Then whenever a website asks for an email address, you can generate one specifically for that website.
The email service is free, but they have a bunch of other services such as masked phone numbers and masked creditcards (very useful to avoid theft), but those are premium features and their price is not something most people here could afford.

I use Chrome so it auto-completes my e-mail for me based on my past entries. Typing it isn't a huge inconvenience though... Maybe if my typing speed was bad it would be. Hunting and pecking for 19 keys takes much longer than typing at 60+ WPM.
