PermalinkRecently you've been transferred to a school, when you ask your parents about it they don't seem to know anything about it apart from its name 'Arcane Academy'. You search this online but you get no results... Before you join the academy you have been told to fill out a form, along with the from is a sheet of paper will the title 'Classes of Mages' The sheet says the following:
Classes of Mages
In order to join our most esteemed academy you must choose a class, each class has its own abilities unique to itself, but it also has its weaknesses. You must choose the class that you will be able to progress furthest with, good luck future mage I expect to see you soon,

List of Classes:
Elementalist: This mage concentrates on controlling the four fundamental elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. They can be considered possibly the most powerful mage although their power is limited to their environment. If an elementalist is performing magic in a desert, their water power will be significantly low, whereas their fire power will be greatly increased. And so the best elementalist will study their environment before beginning a battle so that they can use their abilities to their maximum potential.
Conjurer: This class revolves around the mage using their power to create magical projections of creatures and objects to aid them. Depending on their strength a conjurer can almost create anything from deadly monsters to enchanted armors and weapons. The conjurer has one weakness, time. No conjurer can create a projection forever without completely exhausting themselves, so even the most powerful conjurer must be aware of how long they have their powerful animations util they are left defenseless.
Enchanter: These mages use physical objects as mirrors which reflect their power. Most of the enchanters magic will be used before the battle they channel their magic into weapons, armor, rings and amulets to aid them in battle. Enchantments can include specific defense against particular magics or attacks which can utterly annihilate certain classes. The only problem with enchanters is that they must share their magical power throughout their items, there's no point in having invincible armor if your weapon cannot scratch your opponent. A good enchanter will learn to share the power they have in a way that benefits them most.
Illusionist: Illusionists use their magic to alter the environment to their advantage, walking on water is a feat that can easily mastered by even novices. Illusionists use images in their mind to create physical representations, an illusionist can create an avatar of a warrior to embody themselves in and use it to attack their opponent. The illusionist must be able to control their mind freely to reach their maximum potential, in theory there is nothing an illusionist cannot do as long as their mind is clear.
Light Wielder: This class uses the power of light to destroy its enemies. They use light beams which emit from the holy mark on their hands to sear opponents, the most evil are harmed more by the light so light wielders tend to fight evil people rather than those who get on their nerves. Unique to this class is the ability to heal themselves and others, using their divine powers they can close wounds and cure sickness their only weakness is their strength, their powerful light does not harm those of pure heart and they are rendered powerless against such people.
Necromancer: These mages are hated by all, they practice the dark arts in the form of reviving the dead, they enslave the dead as their minions and use them to harm others, they are most powerful in areas of the dead such as graveyards or battlefields they fuel their power through the souls of the dead and take pleasure from using the power to destroy their enemies. Necromancy is one of the most powerful magics but is forbidden in most cases. Arcane Academy is one of the few places which allow necromancy and is therefore a dangerous place. A necromancers weaknesses are that they can only perform in a place where someone has died, and they take a large amount of damage from light attacks.
Shapeshifter: Shapeshifters use their magic to embody a creature which they have seen before, they are generally sneaky mages and strike when they are least expected to, although they are sneaky they are ferociously brave in battle and their bravery is matched by none. They originated in the wild and lived simple lifestyles as to be close to nature as possible. Their strength derives from their spirits, the more powerful the mage the more powerful creature the mage can embody. Their only weakness is that they must have seen the creature before they can shapeshift it.
Pyromancer: Pyromancers are the pure embodyment of flame, much like a fire elementalist but with the ability to absorb fire damage, a pyromancer is most powerful in a warm climate and at its peak can cause terrible damage, many pyromancers have gone mad with power and cause huge forest fires and volcano eruptions. During a battle a pyromancer will set themselves alight they can, when fully energised, fly for short periods of time. A pyromancer must have emense physical stamina to compete with the difficult spells they can perform. A pyromancers weakness is obviously water, a fire elementalist will take large amounts of damage from water but a pyromancer could be knocked out, in the heat of a battle a pyromancer must choose their fights wisely.
Rune Crafter: Rune crafters use ancient runes to aid them in battle, they have a wide knowledge of this forgotten language and can manipulate the world with words. Generally a rune crafter will get their strength from drawing these runes on weapons, armour but also on the enviroment, a rune crafter can be a fearsome sight in battle with their many runes circling them, the disadvantage of a rune crafter is that most of their runes are very tempory, if they draw a rune on a sword, after two of three strikes the rune will disappear depending on the users strength. A good rune crafter will know where and when to use certain runes to turn the tides of battle.
