1.7 and 1.8 clients can both connect to our server! You only get some of the 1.8 blocks if you use 1.8! (Colored Beacons, New Doors, Diorite, Andesite, Granite, Rabbits, & SlimeBlocks).

We have all of our plugins from 1.7.10 (anti-grief, admin tools, ranks, etc.) but we used some new plugins to give us a lot of the 1.8 objects while we wait for the next 1.8 platform and for optifine to catch up.

A lot of other vanilla servers right now are 1.8 with NO plugins for anti-grief, anti-hacks, or anything else to protect your builds! If you like having anti-grief, I don't know any other server that has this same set up for players! If you know of one, please let me know.

About PhoenixCraft:

We are a community of players who wanted a vanilla survival server without having to worry about griefers and alot of the other problems you get playing on other vanilla servers. We're pretty close knit and get to know everyone. We are the #4 vanilla server on MC Index.

We have plugins to protect your stuff from getting destroyed or stolen so you can play survival the way it was meant to be. Also, without having dirt towers and landscape griefing everywhere. We only have plugins for anti-griefing. We don't use mods or plugins that change the game from a vanilla survival.

We DON'T have a huge, confusing spawn and we're not one of the laggy hub servers. We DON'T have a bunch of shops or anything you have to buy to enjoy the server. Our chat does not have a hundred people talking over each other.

You don't have to learn a bunch of mods or commands either. You start out with a kit (some stone tools, food, and leather armor) and you're ready to explore and build. We just wanted to play on a simple, fun server with cool people.

Getting Started:

You can build anywhere 200 blocks outside spawn, just try to respect your neighbors. Building something touching someones house or purposely blocking their view or building something ugly (intentionally) will get it taken down. We have fun and prank eachother and stuff, but we all have a code. Ask a staff member or Firebird if you'd like to start out near other people instead of going off on your own at first.
