Uhh, you would need an account to post a ban appeal, and they would be considered bypassing your ban, which means you would be perma-banned.

Not a bad idea, but that would be extra work for moderators, and that, on a site like this, is horribly much. @Hawkeye

Lol what? One does not simply moderate a forum section without being some sort of moderator.

This.

However this is a good idea. Currently we have to reply to PMs and it would be much more organised and easier for users to do it this way.

I'm confident that one is not banned without sufficient reason. They can temp-ban you, so if you were perma-banned then they obviously don't think you're deserving of a ban appeal.

They could have been falsely accused of something.

An example of that would be nice, however, I will say again. I'm confiident one is not banned without SUFFICIENT reason, meaning, that the ban is looked into by several moderators and it's determined that this person did in fact break a pretty major rule. I'm not sure of how the moderators here do it though.

It could have gone like this: Person spammed, but said that another person put them up to this and should be banned as well.

Not strictly speaking true.

The moderators are human. They, at some point, become stressed humans. Stressed humans tend to make more mistakes than humans who are comfortable. Sometimes, they get angry more quickly and sometimes they do not analyse the situation very well. So, some people deserve to calmly explain what happened, and then a moderator can reply.
