Heyo everyone! I am wanting to start a website (for my server & business), and I was wondering what the best *free* website maker was!

To be perfectly honest, you're not going to get the best package for free. You need to dig your hands into your pockets somewhat if you want a decent website and community forum. If you don't have the funds to pay for a website as well, then it's most likely that you're not stable enough financially to run a community. Relying purely or partially on donations from members is very unreliable. That's all I can say to you on this matter.

I like hosting my site/s on shared hosting such as 000webhost because I get more control on what I can put on my site.
It even isn't really that hard for someone who can't code, you can just use free templates and scripts.
It helps if you got some html knowledge, though!

Why not just learn html? Its really easy. Only takes a few hours to learn the basics of it.

Why not code a website? Honestly it doesn't take long and there is a TON of tutorials out there! I made my own and it's pretty good.

Depends. I'd say weebly not enjin because its so cookie cutter and annoying that way. Enjin has severe limitations (Thats why even though they have different themes they always have the same basic look) and weebly has plenty (Not as much as enjin) I hate enjin also because it puts ads on your site. But in all sincerity i'd get someone to code it. There are almost no limitations in coding, only what you dont know how to do yet. (Said from a coder, myself) So you theoretically can get either a much better or much worse website from someone coding. But if its bad get your money back. Or ask to pay after its done.

I would still say for a Minecraft server, Enjin is the way to go all day. It has so many options that are a necessity for a server. Forums, uptime, votifier... the list goes on and on. Although it may have some restrictions, the pros significantly outweigh the cons. Check out my website as an example: http://www.MagnusCraft.enjin.com. Again, I would highly recommend Enjin for any server, it is totally worth the money and looks very professional if set up correctly.

Weebly is definitely a good place to start. I make my own websites, and I know from their tools it can be very useful. an example is my website http://galacticarc.ca

Tbh, the best thing you should do is hire a web dev or something similar for this. Web making sites aren't as good as fully custom-coded ones

This is 100% true. Exception is if the developer is sucky at HTML.

So yeah, I recommend weebly! I made that in 2 days, so you could probably make something of your liking in similar timing.

And actually, you can still get staff if your under 15. We have like 1-2 staff members that are under 15. You just have to write a REALLY good application.

I wish I could just help, not necessarily be "Staff". Because there would be no certain times I could be on. And plus I'm 11, that's to young (I'm Guessing). But I am really mature.

Dont listen to Masson. Enjin has lots of restrictions, looks hideous, and puts you in a "network" instead of making it a personal website. Brandman is right! I use weebly for my servers website because 1. Its easy to customize and it allows to owner to easily change things and make blog posts. 2. Looks great and has 100's of prebuilt themes. 3. Free hosting.

Enjin is probably the best website for your server e.g., donations and votifier. It is advanced though, but is the best.

For your Server, I would use Enjin. Its the best free Minecraft Server website maker out there! Also if you dont like the sub-domain, you can change it with dot tk
