Description
Black Lung Mining Corp. is a community of Minecrafters with Black Lung's due to their addiction! We have staff online 24/7 to protect you and your builds from those nasty trolls and griefers! Over 5 worlds to expand on what you can do and where you can go!
Rules
Global Rule List:
Do not grief.
Respect other players.
Listen to staff.
Use polite language.
Racism and sexist remarks will not be tolerated.
Do not ask staff for supplies.
Do not ask for rank up.
Do not advertise in game or on the forums
Refrain from using modded clients, exploits, glitches or hacks (flymods and X-rays).
Do not try to provoke other people
Make signs indicating the buildings that you own.
Guest build is for guests! If you are a builder go to Freebuild!
Do not damage or build onto existing structures you don't own.
If you discover a problem report it to an admin.
Do not type in all captial letters.
Do not threaten players or staff.
Creative mode is accesible only in creative worlds.
Use english only in global chat.
Users are responsible for their own accounts. (any actions made by your account count towards a ban)
For any rule specified or not, the administration can and will make final decisions, and can do whatever they deem necessary for a situation, and it must be followed no questions asked. If, however, you find this to be unfair, then contact the staff member in question, or contact either me, or Xenophone.
Global Guidelines for Building and Etiquette:
Do build nice, complete structures.
Let your imagination run wild.
Do not build 1x1 towers into the sky.
Do not build to close to the worlds spawn unless you have permission.
Be friendly, listen, and respect others.
Be neat and organized.
Freebuild:
In Freebuild, there are no restrictions on what you can build so long as it does not interfere with the global rule list. In Freebuild, you must find your own materials, or buy then using our economy commands. Being given items, or sharing items, all is fine to do. There are no mobs or animals in Freebuild. Build without restriction!
Organizedbuild further use will be abbreviated to OB
Organizedbuild is exactly what its name implies. Organized building. A lot of people seem to avoid building here because the rules were unclear, so hopefully this will clear some things up about it.
OB mostly consists of towns, or buildings, all of which MUST be linked by a stone brick road. You may ask for help building these roads from admins.
You may freely create towns on your own accord, so long as they have some universal theme to your town, the roads do not have to match the stone brick roads leading to your town. You can have a themeless town as well if you wish.
If you want people to apply to your town, then please post your town and your application format in your thread in Black Lung Mining > Organizedbuild
Themes in your town can be anything, medieval, brick roofs, wood walls, it can be as specific as you want it to be, or not. The theme of your town, and name of it, should be written on signs at the entrance to your town.
Gathering materials in OB for Freebuild is not permitted if thats the only reason you are in OB. Gathering materials for building in OB is permitted, so long as its, again, organized. Unorganized gathering of materials include chopping wood and leaving logs you cant reach there, aka "Tree ufo's". Also leaving leaves not taken down is also not permitted. Leaves DO NOT DECAY in OB, so you must remove them by hand. Other non-permitted gathering is messy strip mining, aka removing all blocks to bedrock, this can be done if its done organized and looks nice or is a feature of your town or building. You should also not mine, or chop trees to close to your building or town, to make sure that your town/building remains looking nice. If you gather materials in OB and build in OB, but have some left over to take to Freebuild. That's also perfectly fine.
Creative:
Creative is creative style Minecraft. You can fly, and have unlimited amounts of resources. You may also give yourself items here with the command /i. Making redstone contraceptions here is fine, so long as you break the redstone current when you are done with it. For example, making constantly moving pistons with a rapid redstone repeater and leaving it on is not permitted. So simply stop the redstone repeater once you are done. A good rule of thumb here is to destroy anything that blinks, or moves when you are done with it.
Survival/Nether/TheEnd:
Griefing in Survival is no longer allowed. Instead we may have server events where we turn a map into a griefing map for a day and roll it back later.
Survival is essentially a survival world (of course). Very hostile mobs, and animals will spawn here. PvP is also allowed, so long as you have a reason to kill someone, for instance, just randomly going around killing someone constantly just to make them made or to troll them will get you banned. Besides the survival aspect, its essentially like Freebuild. You may work together in groups or clans, but you may also break your alliance with the group at any time of your choosing. You may setup traps here without any warning, or luring players into your trap is completely fine. You may have battles setup if you wish, i.e. organized pvp. Stealing is no longer allowed in any world as of 5/5/2012. If you do not want someone on your property, or they are invading your building and you dont want them there, give them 2 warnings, if they do not leave, then you may kill them for trespassing. Lastly, do not spawn kill, this includes setting your home in someone elses just to attack them, this is also RDM (Random Death Match) and is bannable.
