Alright, so I don't know anything about computers or making one, all I know is that it's about time I upgraded from my windows 7 2008 computer, my budget is 300 dollars (yes I know, not much) I can go over it about 50 dollars, I want to be able to play minecraft at a decent setting such as 7 render distance, I also want to be able to play Team Fortress 2, Portal 2, and Half Life 2.
So yea if I left something out that I should add in, please tell me.

This should end up doing whatever you need it to. The processor is a little slow but will perform adequately for what you need it to do. The r7 260x will outperform almost all of the graphics cards that others have put into their builds on this thread. My build also has a handy 8GB of RAM, which is nice and the case comes with two included fans, making it a good value.

That would leave people with about a $270 budget for the computer max.

Either way, you should wait a week until Amazon's 20th anniversary sale before actually buying anything.

The graphics on this build are significantly worse than on Name's build. The CPU is more powerful, though, and getting a discrete GPU would make this build pretty good for a lot of games. The integrated graphics on the Pentium aren't as terrible as some people think, though, and should run Minecraft with decent frames while awaiting a graphics card. I have similar Intel HD Integrated graphics on my i3, and I get over 60fps on max settings.

Also, my build has a semi-modular power supply, which makes for much tidier cable management and better airflow. The motherboard is higher quality, and has more RAM slots if you want to upgrade to 12 or 16 GBs in the future. The RAM and Hard Drive are cheaper, and the case I chose is really nice for such a cheap price (I built in it for my own computer).

If you want great immediate framerates on TF2, Minecraft, and more, go with Name's build, but if you want something that will do the job for now, but be much more future-proof/upgradeable, go with this one.

Why are you spending 1/3 of the budget on the motherboard and RAM only?
Change the case and the HDD, they're bad.

No OS included. If you are fine with using Linux or finding ways of getting Windows for free, then there are no real issues. It would be hard to include Windows in this priced build, so...
