This is the build I had before I began buying my own parts for my computer. Can't say it was a gaming computer though, it couldn't game.

Dell case - Something similar to this
Intel processor of some sort, It had 0.6GHz single core processor, just a hint, it had no heat sink. It didn't produce enough heat to require one.
originally came with 64MB of ram, then swapped it to 512MB
10GB HDD, I tried putting something bigger than it, and it didn't work.
no graphics card, it had integrated graphics, could barely run a web browser.
At first it had Windows 2000, but I changed to Xp

It's a Macintosh Plus. That thing was THE BOMB. And it's powerful. Nowhere close to the worst computer man.

*EDIT* It's my favourite machine to emulate, by the way. I got some nice disk images here with tons of games. Microsoft Flight Simulator 4 (yes, it runs in smooth FPS (not buttery smooth like 30 FPS+, but 10-15FPS was pretty good)), Test Drive, Falcon (the first one), etc..

Assuming you don't have the model with the Celeron, all it needs is a good GPU (low-profile 750/750 Ti would work well) and it'll be a great computer (albeit costing more than if you built it yourself).

Problems:
Not enough RAM to run any games
Barely enough hard disk space to store any Steam games on
Graphics card is waaay, waaay overpriced compared to everything else
The CPU bottlenecks the rest of the build
There's a floppy drive.
The CPU is clocked at 1.3GHz.
The monitor doesn't use any standered 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio.
The power supply isn't 80+ rated, so it could explode at any time (that or it's straight-up dangerous)

It has that much thermal paste because you use it to decorate the case.

I know how to make the worst computer ever.
All you will need is a pizza box, a USB wired mouse, and a sharpie.
Open the pizza box and draw a fake screen on the standy-uppy bit.
Draw a fake keyboard on the lay-ey-downy bit.
Jab the USB port for the mouse into the side.
Boom.
Worst Computer ever, 0/10 would make again.
