A building system to rival Minecraft?

My friend at work is creating a building system in his game. Kinda interesting. Not sure if I like the flexibility, GIVE ME BLOCKS PLZ.

I'm kidding! That game sure does look amazing, but I doubt it will rival Minecraft. It will take more skill and it would take much longer to master 'The Colony'.
Plus, as it doesn't have multiplayer, it won't be as catchy. Most people in Minecraft have now stayed because of the community in one server, such as myself. I rarely build anymore, but when I do it's pretty bad.
But yeah, this game is very flexible, and amazingly creative. It'd be a good use for people who are more skillful.
