Hello everyone!
I've decided to share a part of my WIP project with you, campfires!
How they work is you simply Q a torch and fuel (Coal, sticks, wooden tools etc.) onto the same spot on top of a grass block to start one, you can put uncooked meat within 1 block of the fire to cook it over time, you may also put a water bottle within 1 block to put it out.

Start one by simply throwing out a torch, and fuel onto some grass.
Once that is done, the fire will start burning.
Campfires can be used to cook food, simply throw some meat or other uncooked food within 1 block of it, but not directly into it!
After a while it will be ready to eat.
Dont leave food cooking for too long though, as this will result in it burning up.
Campfires will also burn out over time, if this happens you can either let it burn out, or throw some more fuel onto it.
Using a campfire comes with a penalty, the smoke it creates alerts others of your location...

I saw while searching for something else a type of campfire that can be done in survival with the new armor stand (easily with command blocks too if you want a player to create one). Link

I prefer using my own creations, I only use other people's creations like this one if it is absolutely necessary for the map to work as I want it to, and my design works how I want it to

I do like your command blocking... Very clever. However it is not that decorative. That could be worked on. If you used the armor made it so it summoned the armour stands and so... It would be extremely cool.

Another reason that I'm not using the armor stand thing is because some areas of the map are very steep, and the armor stand method would cause visual issues if used in those areas.

Also, something I should note is that in the Hunger Games project, uncooked meats will make you sick, so that is the main reason this is being used.
