Please know where you are starting with. a server is not really "easy" to maintain you know. I know this cuz im a serverowner myself but, You gotta help people all the time.

First you and your friends need to have the TechnicLauncher Located http://www.technicpack.net/download/

Then you will need to download the Tekkit Server Located http://mirror.technicpack.net/files/Tekkit_Server_3.1.2.zip

Exract the Tekkit_server_3.1.2.zip and run launch.bat (for windows) and launch.sh (for linux and Mac). Let the server load and Wala you have a running tekkit server.

You will need to port forward port 25565 in your router and also open the port on your computer through the Firewall or from your antivirus. Then give your friends your external IP Address (this IP address is not 127.*.*.*) If you dont know your ip address go to [url]ipchicken.com[/url]

Note: Tekkit Servers are like bukkit servers and you can install bukkit plugins. But you cannot do /reload
