I too am having this problem. I am using the IP of my server, which is a paid domain, and it will not give me a motd to test.

Test the connection. If it is still not working make sure you port-forwarded the right port on the right ip.

1. Go to no ip.
2. Create an account.
3. Verify it.
4. Click manage domains.
5. Creat a domain.
6. Type that domain into PMC.

Do you have a payed or free domain?
If not, I would reccomend you get one using http://www.noip.com/

Can you provide additional info? Did you put the code as the message of the day and verify that you own the server? You need to prove ownership and verify it is your server.I hope this is helpful. Good luck!
