Client Side Server Caching, To Stop Lag?

Hey there planetminecraft!

I run a small survival server, But my internet connection is rather poor. I get on average 1.40Mbps Down and 0.69Mbps Up. Im only 14 so I'm pretty much stuck with this connection. My players are complaining about Lag and I was wondering if there would be a solution. Here is what I was thinking; A client mod to cache server data or chunks to reduce lag.

Any thoughts?
