Why not try this?

First go into your video settings and turn everything to the lowest settings possible. (If you want, raise your render distance up one. Don't just keep it at tiny!) See if that helps. If it does not, then continue reading:

When you're installing Optifine what did you install? Did you go to the official Optifine link? If you did not then that is probably why it is crashing! Why not go to
http://www.optifine.net and download the 1.7.2 version. It should come with an installer. If it does not come with an installer look up a video on YouTube. [When you get Optifine go to your video settings and look for other. Then, click it and look where it says Fullscreen Mode. Based on you're computer change it. I would recommend the lowest or somewhere near. I will warn you, it will make Minecraft look like its on a crappy computer. But trust me, it works! Remember, that's only if you can get your Optifine to install and if you're running full screen mode!)

Another tip is to not run Minecraft in full screen. Take it out of full screen and make it small. When you do this your FPS will go up!

Also, the reason for the lag spikes and the lag is because you probably do not have a good computer. Go buy a gaming pc and you should be good to go!

I hope some of my tips helped you!

If they did, message me

GOD that would be horrible .. like: "No, I don't want my laptop"
4GB should be more than enough

EDIT: Also, did you tried using a virus-scan? maybe you have one ...

Ok NEW FPS issue, I tested each mod, all seem to work together nicely. Upon restarting my computer last night i just realized that my computer will not let me put more than 1G in my minecraft. Also, idk what happened but it freezes WORSE. and now my computer says this in the Sys Properties:

Processor: Not Available
RAM: Not Available

Yeah, get a 64-bit OS.
My recommendation:
Ubuntu 14.04 LTS or Linux Mint, both are user-friendly and relatively easy to install.
OR pay obscene amounts of money for a horrific OS called Windoze.

That is not good. I think it is about time to get a new PC. Also, try getting enough CPU Power, and RAM. A very good GPU is not really needed for MC, as that is a waste of GPU power, unless you are going to get more games. Also, get extra, incase if you need to get new RAM in it, with the CPU, as older the stuff, rarer the stuff.

Either run a PCI cable outside the computer from the mobo or purchase a USB graphics card, make sure your computer and the card are USB3.0 compatible for best performance.
Also, dedicate more RAM to MC and switch to a 64-bit OS/

Simple. Go to your programs and features, uninstall all versions of java that you see and then download this version: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 80260.html

Try downgrading to Java 7 and see if that helps. Some forge mods are not properly compiled for Java 8.
