i been playing 1.7.3 since its release never had a crash in my life with minecraft. Now since i logged in and it updated to 1.8 soon as i created a survival world to begin a new era in minecraft. It crashes soon as the world loads or ill be playing for eh say 1-2mins then crashes.now im on dell ;latitude d810 1 gb memory with 80 gb hd and running windows xp professional.is there a way to make it stop crashing.so far 1.8 has been a disappointment, now i i want to be able to play without the crashing.so heres the error report and read it over and tell me what you can do.

And before you ask i did reinstall java and minecraft completely, ran disk cleanup and defragment. but why am i getting a violation error.

Well I think it the openGL thing would only apply to you, because we're at least running minecraft for a small amount of time.

i can run openGL ints built into my graphics card. ati mobility x300 ill see if i can tweak it. but i still think its something with the launcher or the game itself. i changed my jar file back to 1.7.3 thanks to back copy and i can run 1.7.3 all day long 24hrs a day and never once crashed.

Ok, i have the EXACT same issues with yall but i last for like 5-10 min on MP but on SP i have like 5 min, then if i try agin i have more like 1min... I read the idea about the open gl and that seems like that is the issue. And tip to all, dont download anything that will say it fixes the problem or u will get hax!!! My idea however is to go to the link provided above and to post as much as possible for a speedy fix :D Also to just reinstall 1.7.3 and to fiddle around on that >.< IDK if anyone knows if it is possible to still have 1.7.3 servers still running but if they do PM about them so we can converse the issue and to do some more Minecraft playing!
