Sometimes, we all need a little general help.

I was using MCpatcher to upload a mod on my mac, after it not working and getting a black screen on minecraft, I tried to use the unpatch button to fix it but didn't. Later i tried to go onto minecraft but I got a message saying that the game was "Damaged" and it recommended i delete it. I tried to delete the game then re-install it but I got the same message. Any ideas would greatly help, sorry if I missed something I'm a little new.

Mcpactcher is used for mod, texturepacks n' stuff...

What you have got to do is upload more ram to minecraft after you have installed minecraft, if this does not work.Delete mcpacther and delete the game and re-download it.Im sure you'll be fine after that.

I don't really understand how forcing more ram into Minecraft would resolve his issue.

Blaster, when you deleted Minecraft, did you delete the launcher or your .minecraft folder? To delete your Minecraft folder:

- Press your Windows Key (Next to ALT) and press R. This will bring up your Run window. (Alternate way: Click Start and type Run in the search).
- Type in "%appdata%" without the double quotes and hit enter.
- Delete your .minecraft folder. (Note: This will completely erase any save, login, texture packs, and servers you saved).
- Download Minecraft again from Mojang.
- Login and it will create a new .minecraft folder.

Ok im guessing that only works on PC? If so, does anyone know how to do this on Apple, and yes I only deleted the launcher (took the icon and dragged it to the trash)

The launcher doesn't contain the WHOLE Minecraft files and stuff, you are just deleting what runs Minecraft. The files are still in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft. Delete them all and download the launcher again.

I went to my computer, then to Macintosh HD then App support then to minecraft and deleted everything. Then went to minecraft.net and downloaded the game again, tried to open it, and received the same terrible message. I don't know what it could be. When i tried to download the game, it downloads extremely fast, i dont know if this is normal or if there is something else wrong. Thanks everyone for the help but it's still not working :x
