Does terraria copy Minecraft?
I was watching my friend play Terraria when he picked up a costume that looked like a creeper. He said they made it first when Minecraft was published way before Terraria. So can anyone out there answer this?

Well if there is a creeper costume it doesn't mean anything, lots of games have references.

No, Terraria is amazing. The creeper costume was added as a joke during Halloween.

If you watched your friend play it, you should know the two games are nothing alike besides both being voxel games and having monsters to fight. Minecraft doesn't put anywhere near as much emphasis on mob-grinding or boss farming to progress as Terraria does.

Well speaking that one of minecraft's default title splashes is "Also try Terraria", I don't think they have issues

Terraria does the same thing, but instead of on the title page, its in the title bar in the windows, and they have their own little texts, and one of them is "Also try Minecraft"

And one of Minecraft's splash screens is "Also try Terraria"

the game doesn't necessarily copy, just has a few Easter eggs.

yeah, there is a creeper costume. notch was fully aware of it, and had allowed them to add it to the game as a rare item you can get from a goodie bag during Halloween.
