My idea is simple, add a donate button.
This will help site funding, even if just by a little bit, and give Cyprezz a bit more time to work on the site if he wants to.
The benefits:
-If you donate $1 or more you could get a forum title + name colour (like on many forums)
-You would be put on a list of donaters (sub-sections would be most regular donator and recent donators)
-5 extra images for projects ect.
This would make people want to donate more due to the benefits, the 5 extra images is just a "reward" for donating.
Forum title/colours:
-[ColourA] if for donating under $5 in total (still respectable)
-[ColourB] if donating over $5
Title(optional for user):
-Donater (for donating)

This idea may have to be changed if ever implimented to be more of a donate thing and not a purchase thing.

Don't think the 5 extra project images thing would work, since that $1 you donated just got used on bandwidth for your extra images and server space to hold them. The colors thing would probably work for just Donated 5+ and then regular. The custom titles I think that he is planning on adding a level system so the custom titles would probably be something from that. But maybe a little icon and a different color at the bottom with the who is online section for donaters.
