1.7.10 Forge Server Launcher Crashing PLEASE HELP!!
So one day, my server was fine (Self Hosted forge 1.7.10). Then, a few days later I tried to log on to the server. The ip I gave to my friends didn't work. So I tried my IpV4 address and that worked, but when I tried again later... the launcher worked for a few seconds then crashed It says:
[19:17:38] [Server thread/WARN]: **** FAILED TO BIND TO PORT!
[19:17:38] [Server thread/WARN]: The exception was: java.net.BindException: Cannot assign requested address: bind
[19:17:38] [Server thread/WARN]: Perhaps a server is already running on that port?
HOW DO I FIX THIS?
Notes: I additionally made the server vanilla 1.9.4 and later, kept the folder and portforwarding but removed all files inside the folder to make it forge 1.7.10.

a minecraft server DOES NOT require the port to be 25565, it could be anything

change the port?
maybe with it saying that theres another server runing on that port, maybe you should think about changing the port number to something else?

Thanks for the help, I managed to fix it.
For those wondering: The port 25565 is necessary, (I think) so you can't change that.
First try restarting java, if that doesn't work make sure you don't have anything at all next to server ip in server.properties. If that doesn't work then you've somehow managed to break something more than I have... and that takes talent

Oh yeh, I also unsuccessfully tried to install a custom map but I later replaced it with the backup... No idea if that was what broke it.
