I got my computer on Friday and because windows 8 was coming out I had to get a windows 7 computer because they were on sale, and it was the last one but it was a shelf model so they has to do a restore to give it to me. After I got it I went home to install minecraft but there was a fps drop after a chunk update I have tried quite a few different java versions. Now I can play left 4 dead 2 on low graphics at about 30-40 fps here are my specs: Amd E-450 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.65 GHz
4 GB Ram
Windows 7 Home Premium
Chip Type: AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics
Total Available Graphics Memory: 1968 MB
Dedicated Video Memory 384 MB
I get around 60-70 fps on tiny then 40-50fps on short I don't even think that's right I think my PC can run on normal. If I find what the bug is.

It is a fairly weak computer, weak Processor, weak graphics card and average RAM. If you bought the computer just for gaming, I would take it back and get one with a lot more power. You probably get low FPS because the power of the computer or you have some settings wrong which is lagging your computer. I can't help to fix it but I recommend downloading and installing Optifine, it increased my FPS from about 70-80FPS to about 100-130FPS.

I see well I had a computer before this one that was so weak you would laugh and there was no chunk update glitch I think there is something conflicting with minecraft because this is a shelf bought meaning there is already like java, adobe flash etc... and also explain to me how I need optifine I mean really how can I play left 4 dead 2 at about 30-40 fps with no shuttering?

Left 4 dead 2 is written in the Source engine, which means that its very efficient, and will still run on lower specs. Minecraft is written in Java, which is not exactly the most efficient language when it comes to gaming, and as a result Minecraft takes up more resources.. Another issue could be that your computer's low CPU power is limiting your graphics power, since you don't have a dedicated GPU. I would recommend optifine for an FPS boost, but as for chunk loading glitches, it could just be that your computer can't handle it.

I would like you to explain how I have a was on a computer that was 10x worse than this on and only had 64 MB of dedicated memory and had less power and a worse CPU and still did not have that Chunk loading glitch

I'm a Youtuber, first off, and my computer sucks and says stuff about videos unavailable all the time. I just ignore it and exit out and stuff.

But second, my computer specs aren't the best, and I believe I have Windows 7 as well. I found a video on Youtube that explained how to increase FPS, because I got lag a lot, even with Minecraft at Tiny view. Here's a simplified version of what they said:

1. Go to Windows bar and click on search bar
2. Search Task Manager and click on that (view running processes with Task Manager)
3. Go to processes slot and scroll to find javaw.exe
4. Right click and do 'set priority' with the arrow on the edge; click on high

It should work. IF IT LOWERS AFTER A FEW STEPS INSTEAD OF GOING UP: You've dedicated too much ram (lower the ram somehow :P).

I hope it helps a bit, credit to MichiganMinecrafters.

I know that somehow this isn't going to help or another answer is better and I'm just screwing up, but oh well :D

I have no idea what it is but I know there is a progam conflicting with it. If I had a PC before this one that was horrible and I could not even play left 4 dead 2 and it had no problem with chunk loading this one dose because there is a program conflicting with it so I am installing windows 7 ultimate and I will see if that fixed the problem if it did then anyone who told me that I need optifine then screw you!
