Hey, since you're new to coding, if you have any questions on something anyone requests of you, PM me! I'll be glad to assist. (Also even after 3 years of coding google still helps me when I have problems xD)
A cool /friends plugin that went across servers would be fun to do if you're up for that.. I don't need it, just think it would be a challenge

What other things would it display Karma?

Basics of the command, plus
-Any alt accounts detected on the IP.
-last logged in time.
-Join date.
-if you're feeling code-y, permissions for a standard and extended mode - standard having stuff like gamemode, join date, etc, extended having stuff like the IP; which is ultimately sensitive information.
+ some easy perms to link it together. I'm thinking to be simple
pluginname.whois.standard
pluginname.whois.extended
pluginname.*
Extended would include the functions of standard and pluginname.* would include extended. If you wanted to add more the .* would become more relevant.

How about a plugin extension to essentials that expands the features of /whois to allow its use on players offline?

I could certainly use a dev for my server. Added you on Skype. I'll give you an in depth description of what I have in mind when you reply there.
