Gaming PC ($700)
I'm trying to find a good gaming PC for $800, and someone said to build it. I was like "OK, then. But what do I need for this?"
Then I found PCpartpicker, but I have no idea what parts of the budget to allocate to what. I can't go over $700 though. I need it for Minecraft with shaders, BF4, and maybe some RPG's in I can get into them.

I leave for a few hours and this happens. Guise we made a build request template so use it.
Anyways answers these questions please so I can make a good build for you.
Remove stuff in italics.
What is this computer going to be used for?
List what you will be doing with your computer.
What is your budget?
Include amount and currency.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Your country lets us know what sites you can order from. If you have a nearby Microcenter they have some great in-store only deals that you can take advantage of.
What is included in the budget?
Things like the tower, the OS, peripherals and monitors.
Will you be overclocking?
Overclocking will require different hardware than a non-overclocking build so we need to know this.
Will you be reusing any parts?
If you are reusing parts list them here.
What OS do you want?
Say which OS you want or say if you already have a copy of one.
Any specific case preferences?
Size, color, etc.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Stuff like an SSD, large hard drive, RAID, and wifi

I completely forgot about this lol, thanks for the reminder.

Unless he's playing at 4k or 3+ monitors LOL.

Oh, okay :b well the 760 will run anything, and everything you throw at it. and on high/ultra at 60+ fps
1
The 760 should be able to hold my expectations, and I like feeling updated.
Might as well is it fits the budget, right?

1
Might as well future-proof his PC, since the budget it pretty flexible to work with. Plus, he implied he could go over when he liked my 760 build. Plus, cranking up the settings does provide a better experience, and the 760 will let him do that.
1
Well a 750 Ti would do that fine? No need for a 760, or even a 660. That'd knock the price down a bit.
1
The 760 would have a bit more longevity.
1
True, but a 760 is still a bit too much I feel like, why not a 660? A little better than the 750 ti, but still doesn't cost as much as the 760.
1
Killertoad: High-Ultra. No need to max it out. 45fps is fine.
Elderhon: YES.
57r4d: My media center PC (Lenovo mini-PC) is using Ethernet, so I'll need the wifi adapter, and your build has Win8, I prefer 7, but overall they're pretty much the same.
Lobbers: That's about $1200 USD, so I can't afford it, and 1TB SSD is around $450 plus I don't want to overclock

Right, so just add one and you'll be fine.

Randomness will probably choose parts that are extremely close to this, the only parts I changed from Seaghas' is that I took off the aftermarket CPU cooler (if you aren't overclocking), changed windows 7 to 8.1, and took off the wireless adapter (you didn't say you needed one).

Well what settings do you want to run BF4 at?

Can't wait for dis randomness guy to get over here...... #impatient
For now, I'll just ask around about that 760 build. I know a bit about GPUs from my Alienware days (overall crappy experience, spent $1000 and it started to melt when I was using notepad).

SeghasRandomness will find this soon enough.

Looks good Seghas, and elderhon he's right I'm in America.
I could probably afford the 760 build.
Also, who's Randomness?

Randomness will find this soon enough. This should work for your needs. If you can, upgrade the video card to a 760.

nVidia GTX 770 2GB,
Intel Core i5 4670K w/ 4.1 Ghz Overclock
8GB of RAM,
1TB of Hard Drive Space (SSD, I think)
600w Power Source
Onboard 7.1 Audio
Is probably about right for £700.

HDD is cheaper and i think it's more reliable?
if you were to get an SSD use it for your OS as it's a quicker boot up time.
a SSD of 1TB would cost over 600$ i think.
Specs look good though so, i'd go for them...

Those prices are in British pounds, not American dollars

My bad, I normally see American threads and just presume it's in USD.

wow quick reply!
Anyway, I have no OS but I do have the monitor keyboard and mouse.
