I'm looking for a gaming PC or laptop. I'd prefer a laptop, but gaming laptops are normally really expensive. I DO NOT WANT TO BUILD A PC, IF POSSIBLE.
Keep the prices low as possible. Also if you have any headphones/headset, microphone, mouse or any other suggestions, feel free to send them my way.
Thx, beags

You should try save up a bit more money for even as little $200 as it can open a bit more selection in what parts you can get especially if you want to get a pre built pc or laptop

No OS on either, because you can get it at /r/softwareswap

If you can't do that, then i'd have to bump down the GPU and drop the SSD and throw in Windows.

BEAGLE3590OK, so its looking like building one is my best choice, so, ya. What do I need? The computer needs to be able to run minecraft, g mod, tf2, dota 2, and maybe Cod.

Those are all relatively lightweight games. I would formulate a build, but I'm on my tablet right now. I'm sure someone will be able to help you, though.

No ones helping me

Hold on, I'll make you a build.

iBuyPower.
Not as good prices as if you build yourself, but cheaper than a prebuilt.
Someone might have a better suggestion, but if you really don't wanna build, 800 can get you pretty good on iBuyPower.

Idea:
Someone make a PartPicker build for 800, and a similar iBuyPower Build for 800. Show him exact benefits of building.

Alienware is a brand you should never purchase, there are even cheaper prebuilts for a better value.

Replace the unbold text with your answers.
What is this computer going to be used for?
Gaming, recording, editing, playing music and internet browsing
What is your budget?
Don't have one, but the cheaper the better.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Us, no microcenter
What is included in the budget?
Everything needed, I guess
Will you be overclocking?
No
Will you be reusing any parts?
No
What OS do you want?
Windows 8/8.1
Any specific case preferences?
If laptop, I'd prefer that it be not white. If its a PC, I really don't care.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Nope

I just want to say, it doesn't have to be the best, it just has to be able to do the job.

If you want to keep the prices as low as possible, building a PC yourself will be the best way to go, plus for a cheaper price, you get more power. Pre-built PCs cost more, and if you were to build the same PC on your own, it would be a lot cheaper.

Building a desktop is probably the best way to go, and you can do things according to your budget and upgrade later. If you want it now, and don't want to build one, Asus has some pretty good gaming laptops. I have a Asus G72GX and it's great. For $425, it runs all the games I want to play (GTA IV, Minecraft, ect.) at pretty much highest settings.

If you want them cheaper, look on sites like Cragislist or eBay. Just be careful if you buy it used.

Before everybody else:
1: Building will be best.
2: Part chosen-Desktop is 2nd best
3: Prebuilt Desktop 3rd
4: Laptop last.

This will help everybody to help you:

Replace the unbold text with your answers.
What is this computer going to be used for?
List what you will be doing with your computer.
What is your budget?
Include amount and currency.
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
Your country lets us know what sites you can order from. If you have a nearby Microcenter they have some great in-store only deals that you can take advantage of.
What is included in the budget?
Things like the tower, the OS, peripherals and monitors.
Will you be overclocking?
Overclocking will require different hardware than a non-overclocking build so we need to know this.
Will you be reusing any parts?
If you are reusing parts list them here.
What OS do you want?
Say which OS you want or say if you already have a copy of one.
Any specific case preferences?
Size, color, etc.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Stuff like an SSD, large hard drive, RAID, and wifi
