So yeah. A lot of you probably don't like me just because i am a griefer, But i can assure you, i am different. I grief but i also help patch security flaws within a servers structure.
I do that by posting stuff on my website, -no-. I don't just post things on there about griefing, I post things for server owners.
Do you guys think im a bad person because i grief?

I'd say that unless you have their consent, you'd still be flagged red by most people. Even if you do give apologies and point out flaws later on, it doesn't justify too much (that's why many here are agreeing that they do believe you are a bad person, although I am pleased to see nobody here is raging).
But yes, preferably if you want to grief, grief yourself or someone you know deserves to be griefed. For example, if you saw your crush being treated horribly by his/her boyfriend/girlfriend, feel free to silently pwn the hell out of his castle. But even so, it's still not very justified; still a crime by most people's standards, like murdering a bad guy which is still illegal nevertheless. But at least you have tiny justification.
So, yeah. PERSONALLY I'm a server owner so I'm obviously against griefing, but since you are willing to (1) admit publicly, (2) not sound like an immature idiot, (3) at least give some tips for the server staff at the end, I'd let you go a bit.
If you are asking this because you are considering to stop, then yes, it'd be good if you stopped. Playing like everybody else has much more satisfaction.

i quite enjoy watching griefers on youtube
Yeah... Its funny seeing peoples reactions...
But either way, griefing is still wrong.

I think it is good when used as poetic justice, such as griefing someone who you know has griefed everyone in the server, but has his fac base vulnerable.
There is always one good-side to everything.
There is always one good-side to everything.

A more simple, less time-consuming, more appreciated method would be to just find said bug while playing normally and report it to the server's owner instead of griefing thier hard work. Unless they hired you to do it, it's wrong to ruin things that belong to others in my opinion. I can't speak for everyone, but it's my general impression of the community and our staff team that we generally dislile griefing here. Probably not the wisest way to introduce yourself if you're looking for acceptance in the community. Also, don't use PMC as free advertising for external sites.

To point out the flaws? How about just TYPING: "Hey Mr. Owner, your -this- can be griefed. You might wanna protect it!"
1
Instead of actually grieving it, just tell them it's vulnerable and leave it. Doesn't matter if you tell them how you did it, you're still being a dush bag to them in the first place.
But hey, if it keeps Tiddles out the microwave then that's a plus.
That might have been a bit strong, but I can't help but feel a lot of greifers have a violent disposition, at least the ones I've met.

Lol so your a wannabe white hat XD
The fact that you can relate everything and anything to internet hackers and Anons is beautiful. Good job

I do not mind that you are griefing with the right intentions, but any big server should be able to see their own flaws with just having players on.

Nobody but other griefers like griefers. First of all.
You spend 5 hours building lego building. someone destroys it, and says "Meh i tested it's stability" wouldn't you be mad? I would be.
Now i consider your way of doing things stupid because you destroy hours of work just to tell them about a bug. Which you could just leave alone of tell the owner instead of massacring the place.
I have never heard of such a person who would like his server griefed and then learn he got a little bug.

Not too be an attention hog or anything but can you check out my article on griefing? I know it's kinda bad but pls check it out.

I don't really see why people rage over their nonexistent creations getting ruined
1
So all the time that was spent in building it was for nothing, and it's fine because it doesn't exist? Imagine if you had drawn something that you were proud of, and then someone ripped it up and claimed that it didn't matter because they didn't think it was real art.
But I see this post as something that is going to become a flamewar, and it'd probably be best for me to just go

I grief for fun, on servers that have no protection
1
Hey, if you want me to grief a server with you, its fine, tell me some servers to grief and we can go get some stuff, once, I griefed the EDawg878.com server! I stole iPhones and iPads and XBoxs, since the server resource pack looks like them, I stole them from chests!

TraedpoDGriefing is a art!
No it's not.
Here's this beautiful piece of artwork.

Then I change it to my own liking.

Art takes effort. Drawing scribbles on it does not.

Are you some sort of Griefing Bounty Hunter?
1
Well, Traedpo does have a good idea for hiring griefers, but like the hacker example, they're always people who aren't going to go around destroying the actual server. And with it being Minecraft, you can't be too sure as to who you're hiring.
But griefing is bad and doing it for fun makes you a very bad person. And I'm certain that Whippay is baiting people with these forum posts.

I am new to all of this but couldn't you just download the map and find all the flaws that way? If I stabbed you to show you that you needed better reaction times would all be forgiven if I sewed you back up after words? I think not. I don't see how this is right no matter how you try to justify it.
1
I see where the strange orange blob is coming from. My only concern, is that it's not griefing with consent by the server. Don't just go around destroying will-nilly!
Thanks to this creepy little orange cubesicle, I'm now considering hiring known griefers to attempt to grief a world copy. It will help me learn where our plugins are weak. That way we can patch them! Facebook hires notorious hackers to tighten security. Why not griefers? Griefing is a art! :)

Things are ruined because of griefers. Why should I like them?

You take joy in destroying others' hard work.
Of course I hate griefers

A more thoughtful solution would be to report these "security flaws" instead of making a demonstration and causing destruction, unless of course they want visual proof.

If i take time and effort to find bugs in a system i would much rather test them and then report them.
1
Yes, of course. The art of being lazy and unmindful. Anyways, I spend time and effort helping others, finding bugs within the system but never without permission. Like you. Have you ever heard of a neutral greifer? Me neither. Because they don't exist. I'm inclined to my own opinion, and if I were to have any say in what you do; the only thing I'd advice you'd do is ask for the owners permission. But again, this is my opinion
1
Yes. Whatever your intentions are, griefing is not good. "The actions do not justify the means."

1
I see myself as being quite useful when i grief. I highlight the problems so it doesn't happen again. I don't just grief and leave.
1
Ahem. If there weren't griefers like you, we wouldn't even NEED security plugins or whatever. There wouldn't even be bugs or problems to fix because you're not there.
1
Oh, sorry. I interpreted it wrong. But still, griefing in any way is wrong. If someone has put a lot of work into a project, and you destroy it just to see if there is any security flaws, then you are the flaw.
