Backstory: When Ethan was young, he got teased at school. Alot. He got wedgies, head shoved in lockers and so on. Fantasy was where he could be in his own world. Away from the bullies. He loved them. That day when he was 10 and his mom gave him some cheap fantasy novel, he didn't stop. He pushed on through school and his parents were always supportive of him. When he received the note, he thought he had to be dreaming. His parents urged him to go and he left...

Personality: Quiet, Isolated, Unfriendly, Doesnt trust people easily.
Backstory: Mai was always happy and cheerful as a child. Untill one night, she woke up in the middle of the night to a screaming. She looked out her window (Her room is on a 2nd story) and saw her mother being stabbed by a man with a hood over his face. She ran downstairs and approached her mother. She was dead. As Mai walked in a pool of her mother's blood, she watched as the man ran off with some valuable things from their house. From that day, she hardly ever smiled, talked or communicated. She was then put in an orphanage, as her mother was the only person caring for her. When she got adopted into a new family, they tried to communicate with her, but she isolated herself from others. She just sat in her room all day and read fantasy books, and at school, she didnt have any friends, she just did her work, althought she wasnt very smart. But she didnt ask the teachers for help, she just continued failing in all of her classes. One night, she was going to kill herself. She tied a rope to the fan in her bedroom, and got a chair, crying as she did so. She wrapped the rope around her neck, and just as she was about to jump, a note flew in through her window. She read it, and dismissed it at first. But decided that she'd see if it was true. "If this was just someones idea of a cruel joke, then I'm definitly going to kill myself..." she thought to herself as she read the note. So, Mai slept untill midnight, when she heard a roaring. She opened her window and saw a big red dragon. It was true. She got changed out of her pygamas into some casual clothes and jumped on the dragon at the back, behind all the other teenagers. After a few more stops to get some other teenagers, they set off to the island in the middle of the ocean, the home of the mystical...

Personality: Imaginative, Shy, and lovely.
Backstory: Carter has been misjudged since she was in kindergarten. She was picked on by every kid in school, terrible at sports, and unloved. Her family ditched her in a old church when she was five. She pretended she had parents, and was able to get a job singing in the subways of New York. Sooner or later she made the church liveable. She spent extra money on fantasy books. Then, when she went to start middle school she was cornered by a few girls in the bathroom. Beaten black and blue. She failed at every class except Writing and Art.
She at least made it by with C's. After her bruises faded away, she had a visitor in her church. A boy a few years old than her. He told her she was his brother and needs to come home. Confused he told her she wasn't ditch she ran away. She tells him to go back from where he came from.
Then, on her fourteenth birthday a note flies out of the open window. She reads it and hugs it to herself. She decides to go to sleep, and has a dream of a new beginning for herself. She then wakes up baffled to a big roar. she looks out her window to find other kids on a dragon. She quickly packs up her clothes, a few books, notebooks, pens, and a picture of herself. In her duffel back with other items like a toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, etc. She hops onto the dragon and awaits a new beginning for her and the other people on the dragon.
