Title says it all: how do I get noticed here?

I've been mostly a forums guy. I'm not the best skinner, I love writing, but I'm a horrible builder.

I'm up for any suggestions, maybe tell me how you got noticed.

To level up easily.
Make a texture pack (actually put effort) and you will gain 15 or more levels.

To get subscribers.
Just upload submissions a lot. Whether it is skins or builds, whatever.

To get noticed.
Join contests! Official ones and non-official ones.

Also advertising in chat for your submissions every now and then doesn't hurt and also making quality submissions will greatly help

Advertise in chat. A LOT. But also make sure you do more than advertise there, socialize and stuff so people will actual click your links

Stay active in the community. Posting quality content is a great way to do that, but posting in the forum and in chat often helps people remember your name and get to know you.

Use the chat often, make friends with people there. Once people get to know you and words starts to get around that you're a stand up person they'll want to hang out with you more and watch you progress skillwise.

Once you've got that going for you, try making content depending on what you enjoy. You sound like the blogging type, so maybe try that and see how it goes.

For blogs/forums post I think a catchy title really gets the views.
But I could be wrong.. I came to read what people said, because I myself want to know.

Any specific kind of blogs you have in mind?
I'm good at story telling and reviews, but I'm not sure about either..

Only if the texture pack is actually good Just making one with random textures but good pictures is more likely to get you banned :/ So be sure to make a variation of nice textures and make sure the picture is of course relevant.
