How to make rabbit farm efficient?

At the moment I need rabbit's foot, so I manually breed my rabbits from time to time and then sometimes kill them. But I want something that makes a specific rabbit fall into a hole with a hopper to collect the drops at the pull of a lever. What ideas do you have?
Btw, this is in survival and I cannot get command blocks.

Well you would have to manually breed them.
Just make a cage with water flowing around it a block down.
When you want to breed them. Open the door the water.
Make the water do something like this
~ = Water, [] = A trip wire that activates a piston to close the hatch, l = Walls

Just kill 'em with lava or arrows or something.
