Planet Minecraft

Hey peoples i know quiet alot of people lag on minecraft, and we don't alll have high budget, gaming computers.I know some really good ways of making minecraft lag less not includeing turning down your settings alll i need to know is your specs and i will tell you some simple steps to not lagg as much or nor at all

by the way people just to say if your computer is like 10 years old and has like 1 ram and amd processors and just totally horrible so you can't even run minecraft, it wont make a huge impact as your computer is already to bad LAWL

Ok here goes:

RAM: 8 GB
Processor: Intel Core i5 2.67 GHz (Duel Core)
Video Card: Nividia Geforce 310M (512 MB)
Windows: Windows 7
Pc or mac type: Samsung

I have terrible lag spikes while playing and they occur every 10 minutes or so... The lag spikes tend to occur in multiplayer too causing me many deaths as it renders me immobile. Is there any way to fix this?
