How is this build?
So I've been messing around with builds and have had this one bookmarked for weeks but could never post it because I lost access to my account. I might build a PC Soon and I'm hoping the build would be something like this:

I know it would work but I'm wondering if there's anything I could do to it to keep performance but for a lower price? I've already made a few edits to it over the weeks as well.

The prices (should be) in CAD so it'll cost less in USD. I haven't updated it in a while.

cats10112Intel processors are overpriced. Buy a nice AMD 4.9 GHz from newegg.com for only $300

You realize that the i5 he listed is $200, and better at gaming than the FX-9590? $300 for a processor is i7-4790K territory. Which would brutally murder thrice over the FX-9590.

Or, you could buy a 4790k and overclock it to 4.9 ghz and have it be faster in single threaded operations.

cats10112Also, use newegg.com for everything. I have a graphics card as good as the one you picked out that I got for only $70. It works amazing and I've had it for almost a year. Everything is cheaper on newegg, and they aren't a scam.
Newegg is good but there is more online-stores that are just as good like NCIX

the frequency isn't a good representation how powerful it is.

The 9590 is just a factory overclocked 8350. Intel is not overpriced as they have much much faster single threaded performance.

If you're only planning on gaming I personally don't think an i5 processor is necessary, but if you can afford it and are willing to get one go for it.

Eh, most i5's are some of the best for gaming, while no costing too much. (higher than what AMD offers, but much faster)
Alright lol and yeah get the Sapphire Dual X version, I just build a computer with a dual x 270x in it, and you can't hear it at all. Didn't run too hot either.
Find Them CreepersKillertoadDoesn't look bad. You can probably get a cheaper H97 motherboard, like a miniatx asrock.
That ram is horrible for the price, 1600 at CAS 11? Shew, and for 90 dollars? They are outta their mind (90 before rebates)
You can get a cheaper GPU, I personally like the Sapphire Dual X, it's pretty dang good and quiet, run's pretty cool too.
Could get the OS at /r/softwareswap
I'd also personally save up for a mechanical keyboard, they feel and sound great.
Also, prices are in USD :p
They should be in CAD. It was in USD and it was around $1020 but then I remembered to switch it to Canadian at the top right in Pcpartpicker and it came up to $1200. And yeah I was looking at the Sapphire R9 280X. It's a tiny bit cheaper.
