Is it more efficient for me to turn my 10 stacks of gold, double chest of iron, 13 stacks of lapiz (or lupus), and 32 diamonds into blocks for more compact storage? I'm running out of storage for all these resources because it's all filled up by my stacks of coal! Should I bother changing these into blocks or should I not bother?

yeah, it would be more compact if you're looking for more storage

you could just make a coal chest but the thing is you never know if in a update they make it take 4 instead of 9 or something then you lose a ton of resources
