What is this computer going to be used for?
Mainly programming and video/music streaming. Main programs: Eclipse IDE, Sublime Text, and Google Chrome. I will not be downloading much more than that.
What is your budget?
Would like to be under $700, but willing to go up to $900(USD)
Where do you live? If in the US, do you have a nearby Microcenter?
I will not be stopping by any Microcenters, as they are too far away.
What is included in the budget?
The case, and a monitor.
Will you be overclocking?
No. I will be gaming very little and the games I will play are little Steam free-to-play games.
Will you be reusing any parts?
I have a keyboard and mouse, but that is about it.
What OS do you want?
Windows 8.1 Home or Windows 10 Home, which ever is cheaper. If they are the same, go with Windows 10.
Any specific case preferences?
I like the tower shape, but color is not a big issue for me, I just like the colors blue and white with grays.
Any other special features that you want in the build?
Maybe a 256GB SSD for the OS boot and one or two essential programs, and maybe a 1TB HDD for files and such.

I originally wanted to use Skylake parts, but the cost was too much (almost $900) and you didn't really need them.

You said this was more for programming and music streaming, so I went with the best locked i7 on the market and toned down GPU performance some. It can play even current AAA titles on medium settings, so it'll still be overkill for what you want to do. If you want to downgrade to something like an i5-4590/4690, feel free, but be aware that they lack hyper-threading.

I really like that build, and I will heavily consider it. I am just wondering does it allow WiFi? I forgot to include that in the parts list.

You can get a good WiFi card for around $30.

Pick the one that looks the best (they all support the new WiFi AC standard):

OP, do not go with either of the two builds above. They are both very bad.
I can't make a build currently, as I'm on my phone, but I will make one in about 30 minutes that is much better than the two listed above.

A 6600k does NOT go with a GT 740 EVER, nor does an a6 go with a GTX 960. Didn't really look at the rest of the two lists past the CPU and GPU, but I'd assume they're no better than the combinations of the CPU/GPU, lol

Here is a nice build for your price.

SSD & 1 TB HDD. A gtx 960, can record MC max settings at 60 fps. (I own one myself)
All for a great price IMO.

Why would you need a 256gig SSD just for boot?
A 64gig would be enough for boot and multiple programs.

I guess a 64 GB would be fine. I don't know how I got 256, now that I think about it, yeah it would be a bit much for what I need.
