I need help choosing the best desktop computer that fits my needs. Right now I just use a laptop, but I decided I want a desktop, preferably a beefy one that can handle things like rendering graphics and shaders for as cheap as possible. (I heard from a friend that he bought a random computer only for $600 and it ran shaders and recording without any fps lag) The size of the monitor doesn't matter and I don't care if the computer itself looks good or not.
Things I use the computer for:
- Record and stream videos and edit them.
- Play Minecraft with shaders + mods.
- Render and create things using resource intensive programs.
- Host MC servers.
- Watch tons of videos on YouTube.
If you have a recommendation please suggest it and have a good day!

MSI Gaming Intel Skylake B150 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 ATX Motherboard
i7 5th 6th or even 7th gen
100gb SSD
1TB or even 2TB hard drive
GTX 1060 6gb or better
16gb-32gb of ddr4
A 750w PSU
And a nice large case
It is reccomended you build a PC it is cheaper and more upgradable

you wasted $700 on a monitor

If anything, streaming or hosting a server, let alone rendering or editing would be more fluent on an i7, rather than an i5.
Could the OP spare another buck, I'd go for a 6800K and a 980Ti.

Congrats you wasted money!

Quick and simple.

Not really. A similarly-spec'd custom build would be around $1100-1200+, depending on what parts you choose.

This one is not even close to the 2.2K Acer Predator. Get a nicer case, a 1080 and a "K" CPU model. Add 1TB HDD and a legit PSU (say, P2 SuperNova). That would bump up the price by at least few hundred dollars. This is what a 2K PC looks like:

That's as close as the Predator G3 gets. Here's my list of items I would prefer:

As I said this person wasted money,
why do you need a $150 case
750w psu is overkill
you could just go for one 2tb hard drive saving you about $70
You can save on the 1080 buy getting a gigabyte g1 gaming
and that mother board is wayyyy overkill get a z170-a from asus and save $50
intotal what it would look like is more like this:

Latiodileethernity4everMake sure you get a SSD if you wanna record, hdd will give you problems.
uuh no... not even a 5400RPM hdd gave me problems while recording, and i've recorded multiple 1080p60fps videos with a 30mbps bitrate
SSD would only be suitable for OS (and games if it's big enough). Writing videos to it would potentially kill it faster
Would like to make myself clearer. was in a hurry when writing the answer. I meant get an ssd for the system and software, not to put videos on it, if you run the system, software and record on the same Hard drive it will cause problems.

Here's one for about $700 to $800
http://www.toptengamer.com/build-700-800-gaming-pc/
Put in PC partpicker https://pcpartpicker.com/list/LYHrRG
Similar to the one above just a little bit cheaper. Not sure you need a 1070?

Windows cost around $30-$50 on /R/Microsoftsoftwareswap Make sure to buy from a moderator or verified seller.
You can put some programs on the SSD and lots of programs on the HDD.
The graphics card will be good for intense shaders and renders and gaming.
Also, I wouldn't recommend a prebuilt like the other guy said.

As he said, don't listen to the others these forums are getting taken over by people who recommend stupid stuff

My budget is around $1,000

I'd highly recommend the new Spectre PC. It can handle almost anything and is very worth it for the price. It's well under 1000 dollars, too.
1
i take it you're on about the HP Spectre? its not designed for gaming, but it is a fun bit of kit, very much overpriced however
