Hey guys, so I've been working on another computer, with some help from friends and google. Based on what I've seen, this computer should be good for playing Minecraft with lots of memory intensive stuff, but I would just like some more experienced people to confirm. Currently, the total price is $1,807.92, which is in my budget, but I do realize that the prices may change. Also, I won't just be playing MC, they'll be some other games which are more demanding. So on a scale of 1-10, how good is this computer? If some parts aren't good, please don't make a whole new build, just suggest a better part please

Intel Core i7-5820K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.3GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W Desktop Processor BX80648I75820K $425.21

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2) $34.61

MSI Computer ATX DDR4 3000 LGA 2011-3 Computer Motherboards X99A SLI PLUS $199.99

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980 Ti AMP! 6GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Graphics Card (ZT-90503-10P) $599.99

Kingston HyperX FURY Black 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM Desktop Memory (HX421C14FBK2/16) $96.99

Crucial MX200 250GB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive - CT250MX200SSD1 $89.99

TumblrFoxI like Windows 7 because I'm used to it. The Windows 10 advisor is like a virus. It will pop up every 5 minutes "YOU SHOULD UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!!!1!!" like I wish I could remove it. One time it said "Microsoft recommends Windows 10" like no shit it's their OS. Also, Windows 10 feels like it would fit a rather low end PC to me.

You can remove the offer, http://microsoft-news.com/how-to-remove-windows-10-upgrade-notification-on-windows-7-and-windows-8/

Privacy issues? Do you honestly think Microsoft care at all about what you have on your computer? You give away private information all the time, whether you like it or not.

If you are going to buy this then you need to realise a load of your components are well out of proportion with others.

A CPU like the 5820K should be being cooled with something better than a low end air cooler like the Hyper 212 EVO. Not that the 212 is bad, it just isn't designed for Haswell-E grade chips.

Very strange choice of storage. You have the expected 250GB SSD storage for this budget, some people choose more solid state storage but it isn't that usual. I'd recommend an M.2 SSD at this price level but if you really want SATA then I'd recommend Samsung 256gb 850 EVO PRO.

1TB is quite a small amount of storage for a person intending on spending $1800+ not to mention that Seagate drives often break down and if you're spending this much money you can afford something much better like a 4TB WD Black drive.

The RAM has nothing wrong with it but there are faster kits out there. Not many people are buying 1333mhz DDR3, just like not that many people go for 2133mhz DDR4 when their CPU supports much faster RAM than this.

Also aesthetically your system is going to look a bit weird because your motherboard has 8 DIMM slots but your RAM will only be filling 2 of them, leaving 6 empty DIMM slots. I personally would go for 4x4gb sticks because that still leaves room for an additional 4x4gb kit in the future if you needed 32gb of RAM.

Nothing wrong with the GPU, a perfectly valid choice if you're looking to play at very high settings on games or playing at 4k.

The PSU is good buuut if I were you, I'd go for a better rating on it, gold or platinum efficiency can become worthwhile at the 750+ wattage level.

That's a great build, may be a bit overkill on some parts but who cares. I would recommend Win 7 Pro rather than 10 though. Runs smoother and you won't have to deal with all the 'bugs' in 10. Plus your overall system overhead for background tasks would be about half, Win 10 is 100% bloat and not really good for gaming.

Nonsense. Stop following the crowd of paranoid fools. Windows 10 is not filled with bloat-ware and is the only operating system that supports DX12. Windows 7 is much outdated now and really not something somebody should be buying for a computer they will be building 6.5 years after it released.

"Bugs" what? I've been using Windows 10 for 8 months now, I was part of the insider program and I'm telling you now, Microsoft do well at fixing any issues in the OS and I'm yet to find a bug in the final release.

The only time I can think that gaming performance would be negatively impacted is in games that are heavily multithread based but somebody is trying to run on a dual core, they may see worse stuttering on Win10 against Win7.

The only problem with Win10 are the privacy issues but theres a former microsoft employee showing how to disable the privacy issues btw he got laid off [yt]u1kGMCfb2xw[/yt] and i followed his video to get rid of all the privacy issues because i don't want microsoft to collect my data and the guy was a Senior Software Developer.

Because, you know, there has never been any Microsoft-created spyware on any version of Windows prior to Windows 10. /s

Plus, the data collection introduced in Windows 10 was added to Windows 7 and 8 months ago. If you're that paranoid about anonymous usage data and the sort, use Windows Vista or Linux (not XP since it doesn't even support DX10).
