Hey peoples of Planet Minecraft! From all the skin shops popping up every day, I know we have many wonderfully talented skinners in our community just desperate for a challenge.

I thought I'd provide a fun way for skinners to get to know each other, put their work out there, and put themselves to the test for a prize! So I present to thee:

First of all, I want to say THANKS SO MUCH to EVERYONE who submitted, you guys (and girls) are AMAZING!! The response was overwhelming, far more than I ever expected, and we had so many incredible skins and skinners submit to the contest! If I could have it my way, you guys would all win, but I guess that would make winning worth that much less then, wouldn't it? =) Plus my hand would be REALLY tired from all those drawings...

Make sure that when you submit your skin by posting it in this thread that you give me a picture or at least a link of it from your profile!! Also,skins must be made specifically for this contest, not older ones you've made. Thanks.*

THEME: Medieval/Fantasy characters
This could be anything from peasants and knights and kings to rogues and wizards. Be creative, but stick to the theme and make up an original character to do a skin of! Think swords & sorcery, Dungeons and Dragons, or Robin Hood type characters.

REQUIREMENTS: Make a new and original skin for the contest.
It must be a character made up by you that fits with the theme!

The skin that is deemed to involve the most skill, artistic talent, imagination and just overall looks good will be the winner.

PRIZE: I will draw a full body black and white detailed sketch of the first place character skin. Second place will get a drawing from the waist up and third place will get a bust (upper chest, shoulders, head).
I'll put the winner's name on it to make it specifically theirs. If you love skins but aren't into making them, PM me and I'll make you a judge as well. the job of judges is to help determine the winner by voting for their top 5 and also to just help around the thread, answering questions and such.

JUDGES WILL ALSO BE CHECKING UP ON SUSPICIOUS SKINS TO MAKE SURE UNORIGINAL CONTENT IS NOT SUBMITTED!

There will now be prizes for first and second place! If we get a few more submissions there will be a third place prize as well. The second and third place prizes will also be drawings of the corresponding winner's submitted skin, but I'l spend the most time and effort on the first place winner's drawing. =)

The contest rules are these:

1) Only ORIGINAL submissions made by YOU.
If you submit a skin that is not made by you I will hunt you down and bite you.

2) Make a NEW skin JUST for this contest of an original character made up by you!

3) Write a SHORT DESCRIPTION of your original character.

4) Your submission MUST be MEDIEVAL/ FANTASY THEMED!
Submissions outside of the theme, however good, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!
No spacemen or aliens or secret agents in suits, etc. But maybe I'll have more differently themed contests in the future if this one goes well.

5) Number of submissions per person: One!

6) All submissions must, of course, comply with the Planet Minecraft rules.

The contest will END in TEN DAYS FROM NOW, on SEPTEMBER 5TH by MIDNIGHT, Pacific time.

On the 6th I will choose a winner and begin drawing their submitted character. I will notify the winner within a week and send them the completed drawing.
