I grabbed a portion of a biome using MCEdit, and after I saved it and put it into another air-map, it looks weird because it is a rectangle with cliffs on each side... Anyone know how I can somehow render realistic looking "edges" to the map that level off and not make it look so cliff-like?

Anyway IF you dont have a server ..
You could always download a mc server on minecraft.net and run craftbukkit/ spigot on it ( without portforwarding) - then install those plugins like worldedit and voxelsniper
