Formerly known as SmallCraft, MineBomb is a brand new Minecraft server based solely on survival. We have a rich, flourishing community of very friendly Minecrafters who are completely dedicated to survival and playing Minecraft with friends! We are completely open for everyone to join and we would love to see you on the server! We are strictly a survival server with very few game-changing plugins. (Only things like MobArena, WorldEdit/WorldGuard, NoCheat, Ptweaks.. Basically anti-cheat and anti-lag plugins with a few treats thrown in!)

We've worked hard on getting this server up for the public, and for the SmallCraft players and are very excited to see you guys in-game!

We have 19 fun and helpful plugins (limited to certain users)
including WorldEdit, WorldGuard, LWC (Private Protection System),
Mob Repellent, Mob Arena, PvP Arena, and much more! (We are still strictly survival, however, these arenas are only for fun. The only way to get anywhere on MineBomb is through survival)

MineBomb is a brand new Non-PVP survival server
designed specifically for players to get together
and take on the many adventures
Minecraft has to hold together.

There is minimal to no lag, and safe spots to build your home which garauntee grief protection.
Three
amazing towns just ripe for building on your own personal plot.

MineBomb Update 1.0

Hello, Player, and welcome to MineBomb Update 1.0! We appreciate you taking your time out to read this update, and we are glad to have you as a member of our server! And if you're not a member of our server: We'd love to make you one! We are aware that this update is a little past due, but we wanted to make sure everything was perfect before we began advertising again!

As many of you know, MineBomb just recently switched hosts - and we are now using a third party host! We'd like to reassure our members that the Founders are paying for the server hosting out of pockets - and we will still remain 100% free. No one will be required to donate a thing! And for the record, and donation offers will be refused - and no, they will not earn you any ranks or powers. We appreciate the offer though, we really do.

With the recent update; we created a new map! Now we have three (four) marvelous cities for new players to choose from! From the old-timey wood/stone look of Twin Lakes, the hut and shack shady/desert look of Sandville, to the breath taking modern day city model of Nirvana (Smalltopia), there are unlimited options for our members to choose from!

We Are Still Surviving...

With the new update we'd like to assure all of our members that the server is still survival. Despite the rise and decline in staff member personell, and unwanted creative mode being thrown around (which is now under control), the server is still survival based and we are still striving to keep it as close to vanilla as possible.

New Strong, Experienced, and Understanding Staff...

As aforementioned, we do have a new staff.. and have given several promotions to overly deserving members! So we'd greaty appreciate everyone congratulating these new players on their staff positions, and we do hope you will treat them all with the same respect that you'd like to be treated with! That being said, here is the new staff roster - Read it and remember it because I think it's a pretty solid one that we'll be sticking to for quite some time!

Future Leaks...

With the new server, the staff have decided that for each update it would be neat to offer some leaks on future, planned updates for the server to keep you all excited. Therefore, we'd like to give a little hint at what is on the horizon!

- While we will still be remaining a survival server, the staff and myself decided it would be beneficial to the players to have a PVP and Mob arena in a seperate world to keep the players entertained when they hit that dull moment of (I just finished harvesting and breeding and have 4 stacks of diamonds - What the hell can I do now?) So keep your eye out and be ready to some awesome CTF - Or TDM?

MineBomb Update 1.1

Hello, Minecraft! Welcome to Minebomb update 1.1! This one's exciting but at the same time a tad bit depressing! Why you ask? Well continue reading to find out! But before we get started I'd like to say: if you are not a member of MineBomb - we would love to make you one! Join the server, give us a trial run and see if you don't instantly fall in love with this server! If you don't I'll personally +1 your feedback post here no matter how negative it is! (That's a joke, by the way )

Anyway, let's get started! The PvP arena that we mentioned last time has, unfortunately, been put on hold, again. What's this like the 3rd time we've promised this arena would be put up and it still hasn't? We are truely sorry for this as the only reason the arena is not yet up is because we're having a bit of an issue with allowing the actual PvP aspect of the arena. Well, not allowing but.. with it actually working...

There is a silver lining, however, as the plugin developer of the PvP arena plugin itself has agreed to join the server and take a look at it for himself. Never before have I even seen this kind of enthusiasm from any plugin developer ever in my whole 3 months history of running Minecraft servers! Honestly, this guys is a real treat to have on the server and I am honored to have such a well known Minecrafter even consider joining the server so we expect you all to treat him with the utmost respect the same way you would for a server admin!

Changing Our Ip ... Again

Yes it is true! Unfortunately, our server has fallen victim to the aftermath of angry kids who have been banned from the server. DDoS is not a good thing to get, it's like the STD of Minecraft servers and unfortunately for us, our server probably should consider getting checked!

Wow, I apologize for how horrible that sounded! But in all honesty, as awful as it did sound, it's a sad fact that this is true! Our server has fallen victim to a pesky DDoS attack - but we feel this server move might allow us to better defend against the attack! Do not worry, your personal information is not as risk as I an the other founders have made it their #1 priority to confirm this and make sure that you all are protected! If not, the server would have been shut down 3 days ago and you all woulda' had a private message about the situation!

The IP will be posted on here, on my signature, on http://www.minebomb.proboards.com , and we are discussing with our server host whether or not we can allow it to be the "You are not whistelisted" message on the current server IP for a week or so to inform those not-so-active members about the new IP address. (And for those of you who do not even read these forums)

Plugin Changes!

This doesn't really seem like it should be considered an update - but this is something that the founders and I feel could use some tweaking. This normally would be something we would do behind the curtain and not really publicize it. But we feel you have a right to know and we hope this little dip into the future will serve as a consolation for the unfortunate IP change that we are about to undergo!

As I look into my crystal ball: into the future I see: A new and improved mob arena with more interaction involved and better team-work style structures (much like the SmallCraft arena) The current arena will still be active, but we decided to do this for the players who do not want to play in a plain circular arena anymore and I think this is something that you all are going to enjoy! The building of the arena will take place somewhere far far away from the spawn - where no Member has ever ventured so no need going out in search to try and get a sneak peak - It's not going to happen!

Also in the plugin changes I see citizens possibly being removed - or tweaked for the better? We are still on the fence about that and if you'd like to submit your opinion about this on this thread then please, by all means feel free!

Last but not least in plugin changes - we are deactivating TNT for good! Reason being: We still don't want to risk any grieving on the server! I know I know this is a bit ironic because we are known as MineBOMB - and I understand where you are coming from. But hell, have you seen the creepers on MineBomb lately? They are boss and I swear they are on a revenge streak to kill all of our members at least once!

MineBomb Update 1.2!

Hello, Minecraft! Welcome to Minebomb update 1.2!
There really isn't much going on this week, or in this update! Since the staff have been mainly focused on getting the server IP switched over and making sure nothing got tossed around or lost in the move. Fortunately, everything is fine and the new server is up and running smoothly as far as we can tell!

Other then that the only updates we really have is that PvP will be a no-go as it seems we are not going to be able to get PvP to work at all, anywhere. Our server is broken! Haha, jokes. We will continue working on it, but players should not get their hopes up as, unfortunately, I do not think we can enable it to say the least.

We Have A New IP

We do hope that you guys enjoy the server and if you were one of the ones who wanted a new map, we are going to have to wait for that as well because the players who voted to keep the current one wanted to keep it implemented via Multiverse!

MineBomb Update 1.3

Hello again, Minecraft! This is MineBomb update 1.3! We apologize at the amount of time it took for us to update. In all honesty, we lost our muse for Minecraft for a short period and the moderators and admins of the server were kind enough to take over during our absence! We have returned, however, and are here to enjoy 1.3.1 and all of the amazing features it has to offer with you guys! That being said, let's dive right into the most recent server news!

Frequent Crashes On The Horizon

It's sad to say that with the 1.3.1 update there will be some crashes that are to be expected. Reason being: Although craftbukkit is up-to-date with 1.3.1 (for the most part) all of the plugins that we relied so heavily on to make MineBomb what it is, are not as far up in the race as Craftbukkit. Meaning they are still compatible mostly with 1.2.5. However, we wanted our members to enjoy the benefits of 1.3.1, and it seems the majority of people were willing to deal with a few crashes on a daily basis and for the majority of the time we get to enjoy the benefits of 1.3.1 and the precious emeralds those seemingly mindless npc villagers cherish so dearly.

But There Is Hope ...

It is sad to say that a certain permission plugin has update recently, whereas the one we relied on has not. That being said, I may have to look into using another permissions plugin, but the one we are with now seems so simple to use for me. It's not something that I want to do but it would be a major help in preventing the inevitable server crashes. And with that being said, I feel some plugin changes are in order.

What's In Store?
As for the plugin changes we plan on switching from PermissionsEx (PEX) to bPermissions.
We may also look into bringing back Citizens in hopes that it'll work with the server this go round. But we can only hope.
PvP Arena is also, once again, on the horizon as we figured out (for sure) what the problem was.
