Crafted Radio

Crafted Radio is something that a few friends and I are working on. We are aiming to create a minecraft radio station, featuring live and prerecorded content minecraft let's plays, mod reviews, and music.

Who's apart of this?

I (elfin8er) am the main Owner along with my good friend CJ (MC_FREAK_123), but we also have several other people helping. I'll list them when we get started.

Sounds interesting. How can I help?

Right now, we don't really need much help. We could use a small amount of prerecorded mod reviews. Just make sure you're VERY descriptive in what you're doing, and use a good mic.

We could also use some graphics. Website/forum headers, logos, avatar images, forum signatures, website backgrounds, ect.

Remeber: Only the best content will be used, so don't get frustrated if you don't make it.

Where can I listen?

Our servers aren't up yet, so we don't have a website/stream set up yet. Keep checking back though!

I have questions/suggestions/Where can I contact you?

Right now, the best place you talk to us is via skype. You can ask questions there, make suggestions, post content to be reviewed by us, ect.

Who has access to the skype?

Right now, only CJ and I have access to it. Please do NOT ask for the password.

Can I go live on the station?

Right now, no. We need to get Live set up. When we do, we'll probably only let the listeners go live if they call our skype.

What are we doing right now?

Here's a quick update. I have two ubuntu PC's, and an XP computer. Both my ubuntu computers have wireless, and my XP has wired. I'm going to use one of the ubuntu wireless adapters on the XP, and use the other wireless ubuntu for the main icecast server, the XP for broadcasting to the server, and the other ubuntu for webhosing.

I'd absolutely love this! I used to play Habbo and they had some fan radios. Maybe Minecraft can have one too ! There could be like server announcements and mod reviews and stuff like that and Minecraft parodies could play too c: I'd listen in everyday and maybe a name could be something like Radio Minecraft or something like that

A. Would this be at all interesting? I think that this could be a very good idea, depending on the way you make it and how you do it. I believe if done right it could be really good.

B. What would be a good name for it if it's interesting. I think Maybe like MC Shore 2 Shore.

C. Would you be a dedicated listener. Yes, I kinda hope that I could maybe be a part of this?

D. What are some of your own ideas? You could have different radio stations for people like a electro station that plays whatever electro music you add to it, they could send in requests for that station. Im learning how to program right now, and im sure you could get other people to and maybe have it kinda like swift kit ( Swift kit is a program that allows you to tune runescape in it, but on the sides and bottom theres information for items and such of the game, just change that stuff to radio options) for Runescape except for Minecraft, were you play, but theres the radio of to the side.
I have even more ideas, if you want me to message you them tell me.

Thanks for all the ideas! I'm not sure about having much music. If it were music, unless everyone disagrees with me, I think it would be cool to have either minecraft music, or a wide variation of music. Your help would be awesome, although there's not much you can do now. Go ahead and PM me more thoughts if you'd like.

Well there fragradio but i don't think that their plugin works
