Minecraft Servers are Down.[READ, IMPORTANT]

Hey guys, first post! People have been worried about minecraft since it's multiplayer has been down for at least half a hour.
I just want to put everyone's minds at rest by saying that it is simply the authentication servers owned by Mojang that are the problem.
As you all know, 1.8 is coming out soon/now, and the authentication servers are down because they are being updated to 1.8!
They will be back up in 1 to a few hours, so unfortunately we will have to wait
Some servers still have players because they are doing the reboot 1 country at a time!

Mojang actually stated in a tweet, that i wont share bc of foul language, that they are just fixing a bug with the authentication service.

Mojang's Authentication servers don't have to update to 1.8. 1.7.9 already changed the Auth servers to support the new UUIDs.
All these threads claiming the servers are down because of 1.8 are made by newbies who just want 1.8 to be released. Mojang still has to fix the bugs in last weeks snapshot.

It isn't coming to 1.8 update is in Augest 1st . and if they did do an update the authentication servers wouldn't be down. when 1.7 came out authentication didn't go out there just down and don't say "EULA IS COMING" that also happens augest 1st

Sorry, I was wrong when I said one 'country' at a time, I was referring to the authentication servers in each area. For example, England has one that also covers most of Europe, A.K.A the 'EU' servers. Sorry!
