Does anyone know how easy it would be to make signposts larger and more useful via modding? I have great need of such a mod.

Custom NPCs has a large sign in it.

The purpose of my post is so I can have a better way to take better school notes using minecraft. Yes I have used Image to Map before. The main problem is that it is too slow (when I load up more than like 4 screen-sized images in minecraft even my high end gaming rig runs choppy). I would much rather use bigger signposts, it would really make them more useful.

There's a program (for vanilla MC) that lets you make custom maps (the item) which you can use as signs by placing them in item frames.
