I created this video showing people how to create what I consider to be a reasonably easy to build and fast modular numerical counter and display in minecraft using redstone lamps and RS nor latches. As far as I am aware this is the first design of its type: so I thought it was worth sharing with other minecraft aficionados. (A friend of mine was really impressed with my design, and suggested that I post it here.)

The system is loosely based on a 1 block wide tileable minecart destination selection circuit that Static posted a while back (a link to that video is available in the youtube description), and makes use of sequentially activated pistons to go through its count.

The benefits of this design are as follows:

Low lag (as it has very few moving parts.)

Fast

Relatively compact

Multiplayer friendly

Easy to reset

Simple to build (there is only one delay in the whole system.)

Modular design (meaning you can easily string several of these together to display high number counts if you so desire.)

The video itself is kind of long (just under and hour), but I wanted to make sure that I provided enough details so that almost anyone could build this device; regardless of their skill level. I hope you guys enjoy, and feel free ask any questions you might have either here or in the comments section of the video itself.
