In a different forum, I posted a request asking if anyone was interested in building something I've designed. Today, I found this, and say it is much more fitting, so here is my original text:

"a skyscraper I have designed? It is designed in sketchup, and out of curiosity i would not mind seeing if someone would be interested in doing it for minecraft. If so, just let me know and I will post images. And I'm guessing that the difficulty would be hard, and that it would take a while.

So the Skyscraper is 10000' high, has a base that is approximately 1403' across from the very tip of any petal, to the part directly in between two petals (a line of symmetry, cutting the skyscrapers base perfectly in half), as the skyscraper rises in height, it gets smaller in a clockwise/counter clockwise pattern, and the height at which a part of it recesses in the clockwise/counter clockwise pattern is 130'. You aren't actually far from correct. My design is based off of the Burj Khalifa, but there are some outstanding differences (because what type of aspiring architect would I be if I copied other architects designs perfectly?). Such as the Burj Khalifa has is in the shape of a "Y", or in a different way of putting it, it has 3 wings that extend from the core. mine is in the shape of a "*", or in a different way of putting it, it has 5 wings that extend from the core. The Burj Khalifa is somewhere around ~800m tall. My skyscraper is 10,000' (or 3048m) tall. If I'm correct, the Burj Khalifa is designed so that as it rises in height, the wings recess at non specific points (ie., no pattern) to prevent a vortex forming on the structure. My Skyscraper is designed so that at predetermined points, the wings recess, and the recessing follows a clockwise - counter-clockwise - clockwise - etc.. My skyscraper has a huge base. The Burj Khalifa is tiny in comparison. So, you are right that it "is the Burj Khalifa", or "Burj Dubai" as you put it. But you are wrong when the fact that the idea for the design is actually based on it. That makes your point slightly invalid. So, out curiosity, which do you like better, mine or the Burj Khalifa's/Dubai's?
